July 27th, 2010 05:01 PM #687Familiar ba kayo sa Lumina brand na tint? Because eto yung ikakabit na free ng casa. Or should I exchange it for other free item and have the tint installed outside? Thanks.

hey guys, have you tried Solar Gard's LX70? similar daw siya sa Vkool v70 so clear tint siya with a high heat rejection. pareho lang kasi yung price niya sa vkool dun sa santolan shop. what are your thoughts on this tint Soloar Gard LX70?

Just to explain this: The number is actually a measure of light transmission in terms of percent.
So a 3M Black Chrome BC35 tint will have 35% light transmission, and won't be as dark vs. stock tinting. The lower the number, the darker the tint, because lower light transmission means less light goes through.
Staying with the 3M Black Chrome series, BC10 is really dark at 10% light transmission.
On the other side of the spectrum, the "transparent" tints (3M Crystalline, V-Kool Clear, etc) are actually rated at 70% transmission - hence the "70"
