my tint isn't heavy, but

as a heat deterrent, "it's near-useless".
as further protection against UV light and its color-fading and material-degrading negative properties, "yes".

do i use one?
"no."
i now like to take advantage of the sun's natural sanitational abilities, what with the covid.

Ako, yes nilalagyan ko pa din sun shade para hindi direct contact sa araw yung interior mo.

But I want to try sana to put dark at the rear windows and windshield. Malaki kaya effect nito sa gabi sa visibility?

You might have a hard time. You might want to have on mine eversince are dark on the side then medium sa front & rear which I have on mine.
