Nakupo! Good luck na lang sa traffic and dami ng tao da Baguio! Hehehehe! I attended the Panagbenga 4 years in a row (1999-2003 yata). Sobra traffic!!! If you are staying in a hotel or the likes, make sure that it's walking distance to where the parade is passing. If you are staying quite far from the venue of the parade, I stongly suggest that you leave early and park your car in a safe place. Di lang ako sure kung may pay parking na secured but what we normally do is park infront of a restaurant near Baguio Cathedral and walk all the way.

Basta sir enjoy your stay there! It's been a long while since I was last there and saw the parade. Masaya yun especially yung mga street dancing ng mga students! Kung may kids ka, may mga kids din na naka costume sa parade! Very colorful and ang cute!

Traffic will be heavy. Marami daw pupunta na mga pulitiko (and spoil the festive atmosphere with their presence!). You can't enter the Central Business District kasi sarado ito although there are outer roads which can be traversed para makakapunta ka sa ibang barangay. I'd advise those who would be coming over here to come as early as possible (madaling araw).

On Saturday, the street dancing parade starts at 8 am. On Sunday, the Float parade will also start at 8 am. :flower1:

Kennon will be the shortest route in going to Baguio but you have to be occasionally careful because there are road portions which still needs to be repaired (i.e. there is a portion with a road cut - one lane lang ito tapos medyo pa uphill climb so you will not usually notice it immediately). Marcos Highway is still recommended for those who are not really in a hurry.

To those who will be coming over for the festival, have a nice and safe trip. Just make sure that you come early and avoid the rush. It would also be better if you can bring your own food (as most of the restaurants and eateries are in the central business district and SM). Inaanticipate ng mga taga Baguio na mas madami ngayon compared sa previous years so it is better if you anticipate a lot of problems also (i.e. Traffic, overcrowding).

Ditto sa sinabi ni Russ at Hanren. Traffic sucks, a ton of people therefore crowded, prices of commodities go up, warmer than usual...

...but all in all, it would be a great trip IMO kase you and your family would definitely have fun. I did for two years in a row (2001 & 2002). Be sure to bring your camera.

what we did to watch the parade was ate breakfast at mc donald's session road, stayed at the 2nd floor and waited for the parade there.
