IMHO, it depends where particularly in italy and austria. if it's in rural areas, it would be sufficient for the food and transpo. a decent hotel/budget inn in these countries is within the 40 euros range, +- 10 euros.

I'm trying to remember the Schengen Visa Application I submitted to the Italian Embassy. I think it recommends that the traveler have anywhere between 60-100 Euros per day of travel to answer for food and accommodation.
So, the absolute minimum per diem should be at least 60 Euros/day.
I believe your wife should decline the travel if it will result in hardship for her money-wise. Baka pahirapan din ang reimbursement, if at all allowed by her company. Ok lang sana kung separate budget ang hotel and food from the per diem prescribed by her company.

Per diem within Europe should be at least $40 to be able to eat a decent meal plus short-distance fare. Hotel should be paid through credit card. Note that they require a chip&pin card in Europe as the magnetic (swipe) is not common.

^Yeah, USD28 = EUR20, eh isang bote ng coke sa Europe more or less 1 euro na. How can u survive with 20 euros a day kaya. hehe.
I checked out the file, it's USD307 for Austria and Rome is USD404 including hotel. Kung yung estimate ng UN ang susundan ng company, may mauuwi pa na per diem. Okay pala mag work sa UNLast edited by _Cathy_; December 27th, 2013 at 11:48 AM.

Di ako pinahiya ng BPI card doon. Bilis pa ng approval, mas napapahiya pa ako dito sa pinas ina abot ng minutes yung approval. Very useful credit card doon minsan required in order to avail of outright tax discount pag namimili.
