Hi guys, interchangeable ba ang ATF and Power Steering Fluid for Civic FD2009?

I only have ATF kasi na na-pass on lang nung seller ng car sakin (2nd hand ito)

Not a technical person I just drive it so wala masyadong alam sa kotse.

    Salamat.

No, Honda has its own specific fluids for transmission and power steering. Also, only use Honda-specified fluids as their viscosity is different from the usual aftermarket fluids.

Correct, for ps and atf, get those from Honda. Hindi naman malayo presyo.

Yes, dati parang pareho lang eh or mas mura pa yata RP nun during that time.

Never talaga ako naniwala sa honda na PSF na dapat OEM lang gagamitin. Wala naman difference yun power steering System nila let's say sa toyota.

Rather be safe than sorry. With my old Accord 6th gen before, I observed that Honda’s ATF is different from their PSF. The PSF has a lighter viscosity.

Good thing for new Honda owners as most Hondas nowadays have EPS already.
