June 21st, 2022 11:08 AM #1i replaced the transmission oil of my isuzu mu-x m/t 2017 model with a 15w-40 engine oil and the result was that the shifting from 1st to 2nd gear and from 3rd to 2nd gear became rough. also a noise occurred during morning start-up is observed. the recommended transmission oil for this vehicle per manual is besco transaxle 5w-30. you may also use 5w-30, 10w-30 or 15w-40 engine oil per isuzu mechanic instruction.
did you experience this?

June 21st, 2022 12:01 PM #2I'd follow the oil grade.
15W40 is for Crosswind MSG5K trans, while axle oil is 85W140

Hindi ba, usually kapag manual transmission gear oil GL-4, nasa SAE 80, SAE 75W-90, SAE 80W-90, SAE 90?
Ung GL-5 ng Isuzu, 85W-140.
Parang malayo ung 15W-40.

Oo nga, thanks.
Ang baba pala ng viscosity ng oil for Isuzu manual transmission.
Dko pa nabasa ung part na yan sa owners manual, ang kapal kasi. D-Max ang sa amin pero pareho lang yta sa muX.
