Mukhang tama ang desisyon ko to leave the car in Greenbelt then BGC bus papasok. May party kasi si missis mamya so pupunta din ako Makati after office. Makikisakay na lang ako palabas
Fast-moving na naman Ayala/EDSA kanina. McKinley din mabilis from EDSA. Nakaupo pa ako sa bus at 8:30AM at mga lima lang ang standing pagdating ng next bus. End of the world blues or marami na talagang naka-leave?Last edited by JohnM; December 21st, 2012 at 04:15 PM.

Just got this on my email:
TRAFFIC REROUTING ALONG MCKINLEY AND 5TH AVENUE INTERSECTION:
Due to the increasing vehicular traffic into and out of Bonifacio Global City (BGC) originating from McKinley Road, the following traffic improvement measures will be implemented.
Effective March 1, 2013, all vehicles coming from McKinley Road, Forbes Park and entering BGC, can take a LEFT or RIGHT turn ONLY. There will be no straight-thru traffic going to McKinley Parkway, BGC. The elimination of one phase of the traffic signal (i.e. the straight thru) will result to faster traffic vehicular flow.
Also effective March 1, traffic from McKinley Parkway, BGC headed towards Forbes Park, can take a LEFT or RIGHT turn ONLY. There will be no straight-thru traffic going to Forbes Park.
At the same time, Rizal Drive and 24th St. will be converted to ONE-WAY streets to further improve traffic flow for those going to and from BGC and Forbes Park.
The new routes are shown on the attached map.
The above is part of our overall traffic improvement plan. Part of this plan is the installation of additional traffic signals along McKinley Parkway in BGC within March to better manage the increase in vehicular traffic.
Traffic wayfinding signs and marshals will be installed along the new routes to guide motorists. There will also be a Motorists Assistance Bay to help motorists, particularly during the adjustment period.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we implement this traffic improvement plan.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
1. WHAT ARE THE MAIN CHANGES IN THE TRAFFIC ROUTING? WHEN WILL THIS START?
The primary change is that traffic along McKinley, either going to or coming from BGC, will not be able to go straight through. They must now either turn left or right if going to BGC; and turn right only if coming from BGC.
This change starts on March 1, 2013.
2. WHY ARE YOU CHANGING THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS AGAIN?
Bonifacio Global City is a fast growing central business district, and we are continually looking for ways to make this a great place where people will love to live, work and play. One of these areas is traffic routing. Our recent traffic studies indicate that a large portion of motorists passing through the intersection of McKinley/5th Avenue are pass-through traffic -- that is, they pass through BGC to go somewhere else. While we are not stopping pass through traffic, we would like to ensure that those who wish to go to BGC are not unduly hampered.
3. WON'T THIS JUST CREATE MORE PROBLEMS SINCE THIS LOOKS LIKE A LONGER ROUTE?
We anticipate that this will create a faster vehicular flow because we will be eliminating one phase of the traffic signals -- that of the straight thru. This results to more time for the remaining phases. Also, this is actually a more efficient route for those going into BGC.
4. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT THESE CHANGES?
In any traffic rerouting change, we anticipate an adjustment period when traffic flow might appear slower as everyone learns the new route. We are preparing for this by communicating with everyone in advance about this change.
Starting March 1, you can expect several directional and wayfinding signs to guide motorists. We are also augmenting our deployment of traffic marshals along the new routes. We will also have a Motorist Assistance Bay to help everyone.
5. IS THIS A PERMANENT CHANGE?
We envision this to be a permanent change as our traffic studies and analysis indicate that this will improve traffic flow. As with any change, we will continually evaluate this traffic rerouting plan and make the necessary changes as we go along.
6. CAN WE CONTACT ANYONE IF WE HAVE A COMPLAINT?
Yes, we would like to hear your reaction and problems in the traffic rerouting plan. You can contact our BESC Communications Center: 0917 5923739 and landline 816-2372 or 818-1603.
7. ARE YOU DOING ANYTHING ELSE TO IMPROVE TRAFFIC IN BGC?
Yes, we know that how important it is for you that we manage our traffic properly and efficiently. Traffic management is a continuing improvement program in BGC.
We will soon also install new traffic signals along McKinley Parkway, BGC. As the number of new buildings, locators and residents increase, the more we need to activate traffic signalizations in more intersections.
In 2012, we changed our traffic signal system to enable all our traffic signals to synchronize with each other. We also installed 14 CCTV cameras to monitor our traffic, and are planning to install more this year. This will help us monitor and react to changing traffic situations.
Once again, thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we implement our new traffic rerouting plan.
