July 21st, 2017 01:04 PM #422Update lang on my situation.
So finally nakuha ko OR/CR last night, after multiple follow-ups with my SA and Citimotors vehicle registration department in Makati.
Turns out the dealer only submitted the application to LTO on 7/13, a full 14 DAYS after I purchased the unit (6/30).
To add insult to injury, the SA was insisting na yung schedule daw ng releasing is July 25 pa. When I threatened to report to MMPC and DTI, biglang lumabas na 7/17 pa pala available yung OR/CR. So imagine, had I not threatened to escalate to MMPC and DTI, they would have made me wait an additional 1 WEEK before actually releasing the OR/CR to me.
So I can finally drive with peace of mind but the experience has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. If you ever have the misfortune of having to deal with Citimotors, DON'T SIGN THE WAIVER they request you to sign indemnifying the dealer if you are caught without your OR/CR, otherwise they will just waste your time. Insist on them following the LTO guidelines, which is submission of requirements within 7 days after unit purchase.
Dealers love to blame LTO for the delay, but in reality wala sa LTO ang problem and chances are, your delay is 100% the dealer's fault. LTO only took 2 working days to fully process my OR/CR (submitted 7/13, OR/CR issued 7/17, received OR/CR on 7/20 after numerous angry phone calls, emails and texts). Don't let your dealer shift the blame to LTO and insist on them taking full responsibility for their side of the process.

August 4th, 2017 06:26 PM #426Is there a way to follow up or report dealers that are taking too long with the release of the OR/CR? I've been waiting for a month and lagi lang sinasabi is "wait lang ulit tayo 1 week". They say they already submitted requirements to LTO and they're just waiting for the release, but I think it's really the dealership that's causing delays (batch processing) and I want to be able to do something about it.

August 8th, 2017 03:50 PM #428Hi, my car dealer already sent the letter of transmittal to LTO last July 14 but until now LTO cannot provide the OR/CR, any advice what could be done? Where can I escalate LTO for the delay? Thanks

Hello,
Kahapon pa pala nasa kanila di nila inemail sakin. Naunahan tuloy ng reklamo ko. Todo sorry sakin dealer. Hahah
Mukhang napagalitan sila or watever hahah super apologetic talaga nung tumawag sakin eh. Try mo punta sa website ng kotse mo
Agree with you there. Nicely put.
