Yup, indeed, we do have that coding scheme and we call it "Number Coding" if that would make any difference. Word of warning though, never ever try to offer a bribe to any police or traffic aide who catches you violating the ordinance or any traffic rules, it's gonna be the slammer for you. Believe me, it is not worth all the trouble. "Paki- usap" is just a futile attempt to delay the ticket being written for you. Dropping names is one sure way of irritating the law enforcers, don't try it too, you will only be embarassed, still the ticket will come your way. Unlike in Manila, the policemen and aides are closely being monitored since it is a small city. Besides, it you get caught, they will instruct you on how to go about retrieving your license. They also will tell you what time you can get your license, usually 1 to 2 hours after the violation has been commited. In the meantime while waiting, you can walk around town in that short time span.
If you don't know where to retrieve it, they will even escort you if there is more than one officer. That's usually better since your waiting time will be cut down to just minutes! I hope this advice helps!

    Old thread na pala.

Ibaloi: I doubt it. What if you offered the officer point blank 10,000 PHP? Tatanggihan pa ba niya yun? And why do you have to walk around for a few hours while waiting for your license to be processed? Don't they issue a temporary license in the form of the ticket?

Huh? What's the purpose of having a temporary license kung hindi mo naman magagamit? Assuming hindi coding yung kaso mo.

Tsaka diba may law na pagnahuli ka na for that day sa coding, pwede mo na gamitin yung car for that day (hassle nga lang kasi lagi kang paparahin). Just flash the ticket sa mga papara sayo. Malay ba nila na kung pauwi ka na, at kakahuli lang sayo sa kabilang kanto.

pissword, yung temporary license pwede mong gamitin in lieu of your actual license.

Ibaloi, meron naikwento yung isang kakilala ko, umakyat sya ng baguio na hindi nya alam na meron palang number coding dun and saktong coding yung car nya. nung hinuli daw sya, meron lang syang pinakitang calling card yata or ID, hindi na kinuha license nya at tinuruan pa sya ng daan kung saan walang mga nanghuhuling police. that was around last year.
