Everyday meron emergency? That's BS.
I also don't have time for doctors who feels their time is more important that their patients. I can find other doctors and and I'm willing to pay but how about the other patients na HMO gamit they have no choice but to wait. Paimportante sobra.
Ginagawang dahilan meron emergency kuno.
Limit nila yun numbers on patients per clinic nila then magbigay nila ng allowance para sa tarffic pag lipat sil ng ibang clinic.

pwede naman talaga pumili ng doc. even with HMOs marami accredited. for self-pay, ganun talaga. meron willing magbayad...., meron naman pagdating sa bayaran, pilit binabaluktok kahit tuwid....walang kasing gulang-gusto libre. meron pa nga sa sobrang laki ng bill, gagawa ng reklamo
iba-iba tao.

October 25th, 2019 03:06 PM #35There may be some colleagues who are like that, and I personally know of a few who have really disagreeable personalities (walang pinipiling profession ang pagiging ungas, nasa tao na yun), but that would be really unfair to say such things to the vast majority of us dedicated to our profession.
No offense. And I sympathize with some of you who may have had a bad experience waiting for a clinic appointment, but if you were to walk at least one day in our shoes, and experience what we face daily in the course of our work, perhaps you might change your mind. If naii-stress kayo sa traffic & that occasional nasty driver you come across, in that small fraction of your day going to work & back home, take that perhaps 10x and apply that the whole day (24hr) day for us. The world expects us to be supermen/women yet we are just human like everyone else[/B].
We are no better than other people, we just studied diligently (which was a hell in itself) and long enough (sacrificing at least a third of our predicted lifespans) to gain enough knowledge to somehow prolong (with God's will) and improve human life.

October 25th, 2019 03:09 PM #36If I recall correctly, there are about 33,000 Filipinos to ONE doctor here sa Pilipinas... yet every patient is equally important. Isipin mo, every patient is demanding so much attention with every consult, follow up or being attended to, and we do our best to give 101% every time to EVERYONE, but there's only so much of you to go around. I promise you, most average people, hindi kakayanin yan. Baka mabaliw kayo.
Andami sa amin, hindi na alam papaano hahatiin sarili namin para sa patients, family (children & spouse... na malamang doc din) and our own selves (yes, you need time for yourself din). What most people see lang is the (alleged) prestige and income (?) in the profession, but what they don't see is how hard we worked to become doctors, and how hard we actually work.
Iba yung hirap & pagod ng hard physical labor lang compared to a profession where you have to keep your wits & learning on hand at all times, remain reasonably calm under stress (mataas EQ), sometimes even under the effects of sleep deprivation and fatigue kasi BUHAY ng tao ang katapat. And as stated, affected pa ang quality of time/life with your family din.

Not Just me, but also Doc d and any other doctor in this forum would attest... THERE ARE SO MANY DOCTORS THAT JUST SUCCUMB TO BURNOUT. I wonder what would happen to the world if all of us just just quit and walked away?
Ah, limited lang talaga ang space here sa Forum. There's so much I can say and go on for that I wish I could say but not here. Maybe some other time.

And no, hindi po kami papatol if someone would want to troll this post or thread. As I've said earlier, I've got better things to do (pwede naman mag break like right now di ba?)

October 25th, 2019 03:10 PM #37I agree most if not all doctors operate with the assumption that their time is more imprtant than their patient, paying or otherwise.
I have no issue if doctors need to earn. They have a right to that.
What i cant accept is that most doctors who are late in coming in who do not give timely advise on their ETA, if theyre coming. Some doctors hinitantay muna humaba ang pila bago sisipot.
The only thing that keeps me calm is the fact the medical care is cheaper in this country, so i cant really complain.
Lawyers are paid more for consults than doctors.

October 25th, 2019 03:35 PM #38Honest opinion?
Ang palpak usually is the administrative side. Doctors don't and can't afford the time to run the whole affair.
It's the supporting staff (such as clinic secretaries) who are responsible for "shepherding" patients, making sure they're properly queued (hindi yung ni-rereserve yung slot sa mga kakilala) arranging records, and updating waiting patients concerning the doc's whereabouts, and notifying patients beforehand if the the doctor already told them he/she is delayed or can't make it... so the doctor can focus on what he's supposed to do (attending to patients) instead of trying to run the clinic.
Unfortunately for most doctors, good help is hard to find (while keeping overhead costs low, so it won't be passed on to the patient)---> Yes, there's a cost to everything, eh ang problema mostly people want something for little or nothing, and you know that's not possible, whether for you as a businessman or an employee. We'd be in heaven if that were the case, not on Earth.
The problem is, the good ones don't stay. Alam nila its a menial (but vital to healthcare) job and they look for greener pastures or go overseas, so we're usually left with (sorry to say this) yung mga engot & walang kwenta due to the brain drain. You can only do so much I'm afraid...

October 25th, 2019 03:40 PM #39Anong BS dun?

+1 on the Amaron. Yeah, just make sure it will fit and can be held in place securely due to...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
