I prefer MVIS.
Appointment basis so walang pila or quota.
Relatively comfy waiting area.
Madaming payment options not just cash.
May TPL na din sila if you're willing to pay the premium over getting it from other sources.
Di na kelangan pumila sa LTO since they can also handle the renewal.
All that for the same bayad. Pwede na.

February 15th, 2023 03:16 PM #538Not a bad thing IMO. I think it will help get rid of low level fixers -- those that generally meet you at the MVIC or emissions center then take care of getting your TPL and submitting the renewal to LTO. If TPL and submission can be done online without having to visit the LTO office then the value of these fixers is greatly reduced.

Tulfo wants private motor vehicle inspection suspended | Inquirer
“For me, I think the DOTr should suspend this private motor vehicle inspection. Suspend it for now. Study it in order to alleviate the burden of some private vehicle owners. It’s okay for me to continue this later on, but to those public vehicles,” he said in Filipino.
He then proceeded to question why it seems like private vehicles are “being targeted.”

Is there basis on Tulfo's claim or a study done that brake failures are the "main reasons" why accidents happen? I don't think this is remotely true.
Naniniwala sya sa mga excuse ng mga driber na sinisisi lagi preno kapag sila may kasalanan....
"Nawalan ng preno"
"Di kumagat yung preno'
"Dumulas yung preno"
When in reality, the main reasons are:
1. Distracted driving
2. Reckless driving
3. Disregarding traffic signs and road markings
4. DUI
The MVIS program is a step in the right direction. Yes, maraming shortcomings, but no program is perfect. Instead of suspending it, just make it more robust, more comprehensive.... force MVIS centers into compliance and make them accountable for any "hocus pocus".
DIN80 too much na?
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
