Hello guys, i am planning to buy a used/2nd hand Innova with a 350k~450k budget. What's the best year of the car to aim for? And should i get a diesel or gas variant? Thanks!

the 2005 to 2015 models are essentially the same car.
exterior minor changes only.
so i suppose the one with lower odometer reading, other conditions being equal, will be the better choice.
the diesel commands the higher asking price, but it will eventually probably cost less, maintenance-wise, what with the lower cost of fuel and nicer km/li figures, compared to the gas variant.
i like MT, but i am sure, others prefer AT, what with the horrendous metro traffic. but there is about 10-15 % fuel penalty...

and as always, it's a used car, po, with all the real and perceived dis-advantages thereof.

i had to use what they said was oem, at about 7K.

Okay so price is right for the oem evaporator coil I think it is denso. Thank u.

nope.
casa did have a silent recall, years ago. they replaced something, but i forget what.
after 14 years and over 130K km, the only thing i replaced, was the engine fuel filter assembly.
and that was because i couldn't turn off the warning light, even as i had done the instructions in the owner's manual.

nice engine.

I already bought a replacement water pump from banawe and gave it to my mechanic, hopefully by tuesday fix na sya.

Get a manual transmission. Older automatic transmissions will fail eventually and will be more expensive to repair down the line. Suggest to get the diesel variant and have an independent mechanic check it prior to buying.

Also, I find driving manual transmissions easier in a diesel engine. Less engine chokes in low revs compared to gasoline engine manuals

Hi guys, would you know of a good third party substitute for a roof rack for the toyota innova 2019 model? The one they sell in Toyota cost 50+k (the rack and the basket). Thanks in advance

...for actual use, or for display?

if for display, wag na lang magkabit, siguro.
hassle pag may na-huling bagay sa rack.
mas mahirap rin linisin ang ruff.

personally,
a ruff rack is a turn off, when i look to buy used vehicle.

peruse the onlines. carousell, etc.
