July 9th, 2008 09:57 PM #8656hi everybody, i'm a prospective fortuner buyer, with fuel prices nowadays am considering the 4x2 diesel, but people say its underpowered. the innova was recommended for its fuel efficiency and satisfactory power. would anybody happen to know its ground clearance? was on the road kasi during the last typhoon and was impressed with the forts on the road.

Have you seen the facelifted Toyota Fortuner? (please check the 2008 toyota fortuner thread). the imv vehicles are due for their mid-cycle refreshening/facelift. this holds true for the most popular auv/mpv-THE INNOVA. the 2009 INNOVA will sport new dual headlamps like the fortuner, new redesigned crystal-like taillights, bigger and bolder grille for that aggresive look, and new set of magwheels. Minor changes were made on the interior of the vehicle. as to when this refreshening reach the Philippine shores is still a big question. but it maybe soon since the current model innova is selling very well with attractive financing schemes and discounts reaching 60K. when the current innova model runs out of stock then the much awaited facelifted innova will arrive. Pictures of the 2009 Innova to follow.

Are there changes on how the 2nd and 3rd row seats fold. I love the Innova but the current Innova seats fold primitively when compared against the full flat bed you get when you fold the seats of a Kia Carnival (1.4M), Kia Carens (1.1M) and Nissan Grand Livina (0.9M).

There's not much to watch out for, a facelift is just a new look from the same body. It means you can buy the kit and facelift your current looks.
It can be likened to the difference in 2004-2006 model against the 2007 up model which has the wheel well cover and new honey comb grills.
