nag break-in ako kanina ng 2008 toyota vios, 1.5 m/t from las pinas to pangasinan and vice versa, nasa 18.8 km/l ang consumption ko, (max of 80km/hr nga lang ako pero with aircon all the way)

ae101 gli is the best,power and fuel efficient...tested ko na 190 km/hr * almost 6000rpm sa nlex kasunod ko yung glxi 2000 mdel up na mitsu na nakamods pa di nya alam 4afe lang hinahabol nya hehehehe...

TOYOTA FORTUNER (2.5G A/T, 2007)
City: 8.4 - 8.7 km/L

Highway: 12.2 - 13.0 km/L
Fuel: Shell Diesoline Ultra

TOYOTA ALTIS (1.6E M/T, 2005)
City: 10.5 - 11.2 km/L

Highway: n/a (but apparently, it must be doing better than 11.2 km/L on highways)
Fuel: Shell V-Power

*Note: Fuel consumption (city driving) of both vehicles are as tested on the roads of Ayala and Quezon City and adjacent areas.

My computed accumulated average since new is 5.69 km/li. With a high of 6.90 and low of 3.85 (not so sure on this figure).

My recent figure after a refuel last week is 6.64 km/li. This was achieved by 25% SLEX/Skyway and the rest city driving of max 60 Kph and mostly speed of 30-40kph in traffic.

Btw, mileage is only 4,500 kms.

Friends, I'd rather compute the fuel consumption of our Fortuners the conventional way: fuel up the tank fully, reset the "TRIP A/B" to 0.0, drive until the low fuel indicator lits up, and fuel up again. Consequently, know the total liters that filled your tank up (look at your receipt). Lastly, divide that total liters from the total kilometers on your TRIP A/B.

As a result: --km/L

Guys, do you have any ideas on the 08 Vios 1.3e's FC? I'm planning to get one next month. Sabi kasi ng mga friends ko vios daw talaga matipid. When I went to Toyota Pasong Tamo. They claimed that the 1.3e's FC is around 12-15km/ liter and 15-17km/ liter. Is this true? I don't think that those informations are that reliable since they are dealers. Hopefully meron mga naka 08 vios 1.3e dito!
