What's the minimum RON required for the Altis?
You might haven't noticed that Shell FS has a lower octane rating now, from 93 to 91.
Some cars have a minimum requirement of 93 RON. Better check the manual if the Altis will work fine on 91 RON.
Just a heads up.

I doubt 91 will work well on the Altis. I still get the occasional Toyota signature detonation or "tope" even with the 95 octane XCS.

April 25th, 2013 11:23 PM #1767These RON rating confusion should be addressed by major oil players asap..I patronize whatever brand of unleaded gas in wherever gas stations thinking the only difference in between is higher octane & lower octane with associated pump cost per liter..Meron pa of course medium octane rating, aka 93 RON..now, should the manual recommends 93 RON does the gas attendant have basic knowledge which product has this 93 RON rating? Is the gas station giving fail safe training to these attendants? Personally I would just say, 'unleaded nga 93 RON p500'..it's easier to remember and is common knowledge to whatever gas station..I normally use lower priced unleaded product and don't have issues with engine performance to date..unless using below recommended rating would have serious, costly and unsafe repercussions to my ride..
Car is WP 2.0V altis..

Saw this Altis a while ago at C5 while we're both stuck in traffic.
Ganda nung TL's niya, aftermarket. Kala ko nga camry from afar.
Dont know how it looks though at daylight. From what it seemed kasi, smoked siya. Pero maganda. LED din.
He also had projectors up front. May DRL din. Gwapo naman.
Sorry labo nung pic. Panget camera ng iTouch 4 e. Haha.
