now im getting excited,i have the money and im getting confused what to get, now i know i said i would get the altis 1.6V,its gonna cost 953,200
923,000-srp
15k discount
30k insurance with aog
13k lto
all in all,its automatic,
the civic on the other hand will cost about manual 1.8s
908,000-unit srp
30,000-insurance without aog
7,200-lto
=945,200
plus freebies
the SA (san pablo) said he could give me LTO for free since there are no other discounts,is that true? and just the usual freebies..
is there anyone out there that has pictures of the civic 2009 interior(1.8s)
besides the price which i believe has a huge diffrence of course its between a manual and auto transmission ive been trying to look up minor/major features that i may have overlooked.

are there problems regarding the manual civic?dito naman me probinsya kaya ok na din cguro manual.. i would overshot the allocated budget kasi if i get the A/T unless the SA decided to give me discounts on the unit maybe i could still get it,but so far i dont think im not gonna get any..maybe ill call him up again later before i commit in purchasing it..

The 1.8S Civic also has dual-airbags.
However, the Altis 1.6V's 3ZZ-FE can never match the R18A engine of the Civic. Not even the 1ZZ-FE. It takes the 3ZR-FE to outmuscle the Honda.
The uber-soft torsion beam suspension in the rear of the Altis is also no match to the well-tuned double wishbones of the Civic.
Lovely interior though. :D
Feature-wise, the 1.8S and 1.6V go head to head. But once you factor in the mechanicals, the Civic eats the Altis for breakfast.

It wasn't a matter of choice.
I would've preferred the Civic 2.0S but circumstances restricted us to the Altis.
Anyway. I'm not saying that the Altis is a bad car. In fact I think it's a really good one. Timeless (though bland) looks, comfortable (if not too soft) ride, lots and lots of features, decent fuel consumption (so they say). So yeah the Altis is a good car, especially if you don't put performance very high up your priority list. It's better than all other compact cars, definitely, with the exception of the Civic, which it manages to trade blows with. :D
Since he posted in the Altis thread then I guess it's wrong of me to dissuade him to get the Honda when the Altis was his primary choice.

its ok,in a way i way i was looking forward to owning a honda, however with the owners expressing that there was a problem with the clutch i just dont get it,i mean is honda really messing up their products just so the consumers would favor the one next in line, well i guess mass production always has its flaws..i mean both cars are really great for me,im just looking for the best deal i guess, after the holidays im ready to commit between the two..its like falling in love with 2 ladies but u get to pick only one, hehehe
