September 15th, 2008 10:05 AM #112Hello guys,
I have a problem with my '08 altis. While I was washing my car last weekend, I noticed that there is a small bump on the back seat passenger door. You can only notice it when sunlight reflects the whole car. I think it was bump in the parking area by the driver when he/she was opening his/her car door. Although maliit lng siya but nakakalungkot kapag nakita mo yon. I know this is normal and mahirap iwasan but i really feel very sad and troubled, new car pa naman. I believe you can understand this feeling. Some people don't care about the car beside them when they open their car door.
I am really troubled right now and I would really appreciate if you guys can advice me any solutions on how to fix this. I heard that a "magnet" can be used to pull back the bump? is this true? If yes, where can i bring it? Or do you know any trusted car shop who can help to retach it properly? Thank very much much in advance!

September 15th, 2008 10:37 AM #113Racedriver,
You'll need a Paintless Dent Removal.
Last time I checked, this service is offered at Auto Camp, Ortigas (near Meralco). You can check the detailing threads for the details.
My '08 Altis also has a dimple dent at the right rear door but I still cant find the time to drop by Auto Camp.

September 16th, 2008 09:54 AM #114Hi Razor,
Thank you for your expert advice. Have you tried PDR before? Would you know how PDR is done for the '08 Altis? Would it be safe for the car? Do they need to remove the door panel, windows, etc...?
Thank you again!

September 16th, 2008 10:42 PM #115No they wont remove the door panel or windows. They will just lower down your window, then insert a gadget just like a flat stick, then push the dimple inside out, marami nag offer ng ganitong service usually sa mga detailing shop. Mine kasi I have it done sa D. Tuazon cor Maria Clara before, siguro mga 6 years ago, so I dont know if the shop still exist. Mga small dent lang ang pwede just like a dimple.

I'm a newbie on this forums but been reading this forums for quite some time now and I would say I learned a lot from you guys.
I'll be getting my new 1.6V Altis Dark Gray this coming Wednesday but my preferred color is black. Just want to ask you guys,... "Wala po ba talagang narelease na Mica Black color sa 1.6V category ng Altis 2008? Sabi kasi ng SA ko ay sa 1.6G lang daw may Mica Black color.

September 21st, 2008 07:38 AM #119Hello drex and welcome to this forum.
Congratulations on the purchase of your new 1.6V
I believe the Dark Gray color is Exclusive to the "V" series.
If you are interested in getting leather seat covers, I highly recommend seatmate in Mandaluyong, that is where I got mine.
There is some more information specific to the 10th Generation Corolla available on the Altisclubzz.com forum
Enjoy your new Altis!
