It can't be a VGT, mababa lang e. Intercooler siguro.
Mitsubishi's 2.5L Strada new engine outputs 175hp.

Ayan di na pagtatawanan Toyota at least among the Japanese competitive na sila. Of course talo pa din sa Korean (Hyundai's R-engine) and the Germans.

Oh and I've been reading the spec sheet for the 3.0 1KD-FTV and it's equipped with a Variable Nozzle Turbo or so it says. I tried googling that and I've been coming up with VGT links all over the place. Can't say for sure but I'm guessing Hyundai's VGTs are tuned in such a way that they output much more with a smaller displacement.
I think if Toyota tried, they could do the same with what Hyundai's doing or even better really.

August 18th, 2009 09:24 PM #15Wikipedia says VGT is the general term for VNT, VATN, VVT, and VTG. [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variabl...y_turbocharger ] So the 2KD VN has VGT.
Hey, Mitsubishi's on a roll! I hope the new 4D56 also ends up on the Fuzion or Adventure.
Hey, don't laugh at Toyota. At least they're not as lazy as Isuzu...considering Isuzu's the "diesel king". Hehehehe...

Still too weak and too late I'm afraid.
By the time this is available, Hyundai-Kia already has their Tucson, Santa Fe and Sorento CRDi R engines here. A 2.0L -184hp and a 2.2L CRDi 200hp engine which are all mated to a 6 speed M/T and A/T.

It's about 1 cm longer than the 3SM and about 4 cm longer than the DIN74. And it's also in the 10k...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
