August 1st, 2007 09:38 AM #1Hi Peeps,
After carefully reading everybody's thought about gasoline engine Revo and Adventure, I wish to consider now the diesel engine. Need your inputs again regarding the ff:
Car(diesel) Fuel Consumption (km/liter) Comfort (interms of ride)
Revo
xwind
Adventure
It is easy to maintain diesel engine?

My daily ride for 4 years was a Crosswind XTO A/T. Great fuel consumption (11 km/l city) and you can almost dump anything inside like people, boxes luggage and the vehicle wont complain. Downside is it's not a nice drive. Very spartan ergonomics, it's noisy, the car won't point at where you want it to go and most of all the engine is very unresponsive. It's an unrefined truck.
My parents had a Revo gas which I borrowed during my coding days. Much better drive (rack and pinion steering makes a heck of a difference) but is quite a gas guzzler.
We had an Adventure (diesel) service vehicle at the office. I think it's a better blend of both. Nice drive and personally, a much better suspension ride. It's not as fuel efficient as the Crosswind tho...

Fuel efficiency = 4ja-1
Ride and comfort = 1 Revo, 2 Adventure
Silence = 4D56
Re maintenance: almost the same unless major repairs comes in. Just follow
the recommended PMS and it will give you a worry free ride.
