    Making the fort 5speed
looking at the gear ratio of the monty, looks like the monty just gained one low gear. It gained a first gear as opposed to the gear ratios of the fort where the low is higher than the low of the monty (low of fort is effectively 2nd on the monty)
its like the fort is always using 2nd as the low gear which it can, given the amount of torque it has at low revs, specially the 3.0v
the d or 4th is almost the same as the 5th of the monty. I believe the 4th of the fort is slightly higher than the 5th of the monty.
i lost my gear ratio tables so cant check now

id like rear disk brakes on the fort though
that's a good point to make given na yung 3.0li D4D dishes out full torque fm. 1400 RPM, as opposed to the (peaky) Mitsu 2.5 DiD full torque fm. 2000RPM.....

Just came from Toyota Makati. They had a unit there. It did have the hood scoop and intercooler. Leather seats na din pala. And the navigation HU. Output na lang ang pinag-uusapan.

Back in 2005, the most affordable Fortuner is 2.7 VVT-i and it was around 1.27 M.

Pag m/t very significant difference yan torque nila. Pero kung a/t ang usapan i factor mo din yung stall speed nya.
