May 20th, 2013 06:39 PM #1Hey guys binigay na kasi sakin ng tito ko ung toyota corolla big body niya and im still a college student and i dont know much about cars iniwan nya na ung car kasi pumunta na siya canada for good. Help lang kasi hindi siya power steering mejo di ako komportable drivin eh. Pwede bang gawin power steering etong toyota corolla big body na eto? If yes magkano kaya ang aabutin? Thanks guys!

XL variant more likely, all manual,
IMO, ill leave it that way,
less power amenities == less headache
like you stated, student ka palang, yung conversion will cost you money, if not done right, it will cost you money, if napaayos mo ng maayos, more likely surplus condition, gamble yan, okei kung it will last, but if in a few months time, magleak, it will also cost you money.
weak point ng corolla bigbody ang power steering nya, the ones na nakakabit sa 4afe's, kaya im suggesting as is nalang.
kung may resources ka naman to do the conversion, go ahead, hopefully maayus yung kukuhanin mo and siguraduhin mong OEM, stay away from taiwan rack and pinion assemblies, it will give your more headache kesa sa surplus OEM assembly.
pwede naman lumambot yan, when turning, paandarin mo kotse kahit sobrang bagal, gagaan din yan, pag from a standstill and pipihitin mo, magkaka- muscle ka talaga.

btw, i myself own a corolla bigbody GLi before, got it from experience.
OT: mas i-maintain mo nalang ang engine mo, give it a tune up, change oil, everything!
You'll be surprised sa performance ng 2E engine mo, it will go a long long long way, magsasawa ka na sa kotse na yan, buhay na buhay pa makina na yan. If maintained regularly, hindi maselan sa maintenance ang 2E compared sa mga newer engines.Last edited by 7138; May 20th, 2013 at 07:09 PM.

Ay ganun ba? Sige i sstay ko nalang yun as is mas hassle pala pag pina power steering pa. Actually kaka tune up lang at lahat ok naman ang smooth ng takbo ang problema lang ung AirConditioning nung sasakyan sobrang hina na, kaya parati nka baba windows ko. kung papaayos kaya ung aircon sir magkano kaya aabutin? Ung aircon parang nka fan lang ehthanks for the reply sir! Sensya na!

May 21st, 2013 10:13 AM #6Pa check mo wheel alignment and camber, pag wala sa ayos mabigat talaga manibela, wag ka din magkabit ng masyadong malapad na gulong, nakakadagdag din sa bigat ng manibela

pa check mo muna aircon mo, baka need lang ng cleaning ang freon. will just cost you 1200 - 1500 pag yan lang... sa power steering mo naman, ok yan basta you have enough funds. hit or miss and surplus rack and bawat paayos mo sobrang magastos, labor pa lang ang mahal na... keep it neat and simple but kung may budget ka, get a good set of lowering springs and power windows na rub, ok na ulit hehe!
