My relatives abroad do the tennis ball method.
For our place in Pampanga, i placed a small mark on the wall where i align the side mirror of the longest vehicle we park inside.
True Value used to sell reflectorized standees too.

If your garage floor will still look okay,- spray paint with a line to align/guide your left rear wheel....
Or if you have floor tiles for your garage,- reference a particular tile for parking (still using your left rear wheel)....

using a curved mirror in the corner of the garage to see if the bumper is almost kissing the wall.
got a curved mirror from "surplasan".. i think its from a side mirror of a truck

Nothing beats familiarization and ref points together with wheel chocks. No problem even brown outs

Another solution is to install a backing camera and park backwards? This will work wherever you go.
Not just the engine. It's literally a D-Max with Mazda styling, but everything mechanical is Isuzu....
