July 3rd, 2017 01:56 PM #982Congrats on choosing the Hilux sir! Hehe you won't regret it! [emoji4] Those are some practical accessories, sir hehe and well chosen, I'm looking forward to seeing your Hilux! [emoji16] If I were to suggest additional accessories though, it would be a suspension upgrade; the Bilsteins were the best purchase we made for the Hilux so far hehe but how the Hilux rides stock would be entirely up to you if you find it comfortable enough and your driving style or how you would use your truck po hehe but the Bilsteins do improve the handling a lot, and there is a noticeable increase in stability and improvement in overall ride quality (the suspension's behavior is much more predictable) and you could also gain some lift at the front up to I think 2" with the stock coils but you could also opt for a 1" lift in front to level the rake or the natural droop like I did. As for issues, I'm not aware of or have encountered any issues at the moment with the Hilux but I have heard from people with the manual that they experience "sabit" when shifting to third gear. Better to wait for the replies of other Manual Hilux owners here (ours is an auto) to make sure but other than that, the new Hilux is smooth, quiet, and powerful [emoji4]
Here's a few pics of our humble Hilux hehe. It's only got a few small things done to it hehe [emoji16]

July 4th, 2017 08:41 AM #984Hi sir, I got the set directly from Bilstein PH in San Juan.
P 36,000 for the set and 2,000 for labor so all in all, 38,000 po.
As for the ride, it has noticeably improved po. I'm the one driving it so I don't have experience pa po sa back seat pero I can definitely notice a significant improvement and better compliance on bumps. It rides firm, but not as jittery as stock and is feels much more planted on the highway.

Thanks for your input, sir. We might get the automatic variant instead since my wife might like to drive the truck.
Regarding the suspension, we might upgrade the shocks to Ridemax (just the 4-way adjustable) with stock coil springs (might change to Lovells if needed) if my wife complains about the ride. Might stick to stock height since I sometimes carry heavy loads for around 300kms one way.Last edited by doy; July 5th, 2017 at 05:50 PM. Reason: Spelling correction.

July 5th, 2017 06:05 PM #986You're welcome, sir! We were actually supposed to get the E Manual variant again, since our previous Hilux was a 2011 2.5 E manual, but when my mom test drove the 2.4 G with the auto, she liked it and so we went with the automatic since it's my mom and I who drives it and we're very happy with it. [emoji16]
I've heard that the Ridemax 4-way adjustable is just like the Rancho 9000xl in terms of ride and performance so it's also a good choice. [emoji16] We're also using stock coils, though we might get Dobinsons/Lovells coils and add-a-leaf for the back sometime down the road if ever. Hope to see your truck soon, sir hehe God bless [emoji4]

Used Philips Xtreme Vision, Philips Xtreme Power, Osram Nightbreaker Plus H4 bulbs. All use stock 60/55 watts and will not melt the stock gauge 18 wiring and multi-reflector headlamp housing. All contain xenon gas and provide better light output, reach, and hotspot than the stock osram bilux bulb at the expense of shorter lifespan (around 2 years).
Osram Nightbreaker Laser is the latest while Unlimited is 2nd. Both share the same stock wattage as the ones I've used. They are also direct plug-and-play. No ceramic sockets and wiring harness needed.Last edited by doy; July 8th, 2017 at 10:53 AM. Reason: Additional info.
One can only hope.
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
