There is a chance cargo capacity will vary depending on the market as well; although i did not confirm I read somewhere that the Hilux had 3 available suspension variants catering to comfort, heavy duty, and standard requirements. The PH supposedly gets the standard set-up.
On the discount, the 2.8 should have a larger discount as demand is mostly for the 2.4 a/t variant based on the stock lists I've seen previously.

My officemate just got a Hilux E. I think it's really good value. It comes out bare at 1.030M (steel rims, no bumper, no fender flares). But you can get 20" rims (50k), rear bumper (17k casa) and flares (5.5k) and it comes out better than a Navara EL (1.075M) or Ranger XLT (1.148M).

Nice!
For the fender flares, the ones sold apparently don't fit the E model (the lower portion won't align properly due to the E having narrower fender flares than the G variants). Do let me know if your friend successfully installs a set or finds a shop who can fabricate an OEM looking set.
I also have a photo similar to that (when i saw the Altis of our family friend). :D

It's about 1 cm longer than the 3SM and about 4 cm longer than the DIN74. And it's also in the 10k...
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
