Well, influence ng t-badge nga kasi. A lot of pinoys are blinded by it. Regardless, customers are still going to be satisfied since they can have other choices also in case they want something different.

so why do they buy it, when they already have a stable of other cars?
because it's an EV, for whatever joy of the future it promises, or because it's another toy to play with?

i know personally of four folks who purchased one because of the coding advantage.
medyo unti-unti nang dumadami ang EVs on the road, but one would not know where these cars' owners reside... maybe someone will come up with residence figures.

I think its more of the knowledge of what benefits it has compared to you regular ICE car.
For Everyday city driving EV are probably the best.
No noise, easy to drive, most of the tech you need already included plus more.
i guess nasanay na mga mayayaman to have more than one car pang coding.
Some have weekend ICE cars or used for Long drives while the EV are for pure city driving.

Not only toyota has crappy, unethical practices within their dealerships, especially if high-end models are involved. But they also strip a lot on specs of many local units (yet overseas units usually have better specs as well as rivals) while charging for more at the same time, like when the all-new fortuner and hilux came out here in 2015/16. No backup camera for totl bt? Wtf lol. Tho this was before the pandemic. Ever since they've become somewhat more generous in updating the specs (they have better HUs now, rear & 360 cameras for some) but they still charge more for their units. Another thing i've noticed is that many of their best-sellers have limited features on their a/c controls (limited zones, no hot temp & sometimes no rear defogger). They did that probably to cut some costs in production but somehow it doesn't reflect in their respective srps.

this is true. kawawa yung mga unang bumili ng 2nd gen fort back then. Because within a year yata, TMP upgraded some features like 4 wheel disc brakes and other small features to their base model G. Two of my friends who bough the G model when released were pissed. sana daw naghintay na lang sila for better features.

Not sure if TMP did this intentionally or because of clamor from buyers. i was also looking with a friend who bought a G model unit that time the fort was introduced and an SA i talked to said a lot of buyers where surprised at the lack of features of the Fort G considering the outgoing model had climate control, 4 wheel disc brakes and such for the same base model.

Gusto kumuha ng Tesla.
Not sure though if matuloy yun, since yung Hilux nya yung nabenta recently.
Baka for keeps nalang if walang buyer.
