February 17th, 2019 11:52 PM #151My 2nd gen Vios E didn't have power mirrors either.
The "econ" light is just an indicator that your are driving "economically." But it's not a mode.
Unlike the old Corolla XE's, all Vios's have only single horns, kaya meep-meep and tunog. Even my 11th gen Altis was the same. That's why I had the casa upgrade them to Bosch Fanfare EC6 before they were released.

February 18th, 2019 11:39 AM #154Guys just another noob question: How do you unlock/lock the car properly? I’m so ashamed in asking this pero may instances na i-lock ko ang sasakyan pero yung driver door unlocked parin. So I ended up doing the lock->close the door while pulling the door handle out.

February 18th, 2019 11:23 PM #158Thanks. It’s just so basic and nakakahiya medjo na pa-ulit2 akong ng lock tapos always unlock..haha
From the outside. I don’t know whats the exact steps kasi hindi naman all the time nangyayari pero usually pagpark ko, unlock ko ang door using the unlock button above the power window, then paglabas, close ko ang pinto tapos lock ko gamit yung susi. Kahit na may lock mechanical sound, unlock parin. Yung solution ko nalang is buksan ang pinto, lock ko gamit yung key, then cose while pulling the door handle - the classic lock way.

February 19th, 2019 08:12 AM #159In my experience with Toyota cars, that's weird. The sequence for manual locking should be:
1. unlock the door to get out of the car
2. open the door and get out of the car
3. shut the door
4. lock the door manually with the key.
5. just to be sure, pull the door handle. if the door doesn't open, then it is locked.
Simple. If this doesn't work, its either the door is not completely shut, or there is something wrong with the lock. Complain about it when you take it in for the 1k PMS.
