May 7th, 2020 10:05 AM #171talagah?
well,
i googled and it seems an easy fix naman.
i am sure toyota will rectify the issue, free, even if it is already the second or third owner bringing it in. best they do it for you, to maintain warranty.
my 2014 wigo did not have such recall issues.
what i do know, is that the first 2014 model's silver paint on the plastics inside, tended to wear thin easily over time.Last edited by dr. d; May 7th, 2020 at 10:15 AM.

May 7th, 2020 11:58 AM #176"buying used" is not new to me.
knowing auto-mechanics (i.e., "i bought and repaired an ex-taxi!") is an advantage.
being financially capable and amendable, also helps (for the expected post-purchase repair).
a tsikoteer here says, for the money, mirage is ok.
others, however, say mirage has design issues that keep the owner on his toes.
me? i'm a toyota fan.
so, what problem did my 5.5 year-old wigo give me?
nothing dramatic.
but the "up" function of the driver-side side mirror is busted. it sounds like may nasira or kumalas sa loob. fortunately, it is easy to reach out and manually move the mirror, so i haven't been inspired to fix it, yet.
also, when the battery dies, replace it. for some reason, away niyang mag-start via jump-start cables.
happy buying.Last edited by dr. d; May 7th, 2020 at 12:10 PM.

May 7th, 2020 12:32 PM #178i think both 2014 and 2017 models are daihatsus at heart and in reality.
but since toyota owns daihatsu, it is very easy to re-badge them as toyotas. badge-engineering is already global industry practice.
because naman, who would buy these little beasties here, if they were badged as daihatsus?..
personally, i got a wigo because i thought toyota would support me in the perceived build quality department, and in the aftersales.
and also because, it cost only half as much as my intended target purchase at that time (an innova) when i walked in.
heh heh.Last edited by dr. d; May 7th, 2020 at 01:38 PM.

Yes im a toyota fan too. Just wondering about your jump start it should have started it if done correctly. I hope that it will be no headache buying a 2nd hand. As for maintenance I dont think it will be a problem since i will be using it as a spare vehicle probably it will run 2000 to 3000km in a year only.

May 7th, 2020 10:08 PM #180I used that road a few times before. Di naman matarik. I recall madami din ako nakasabay ng wigo and eon.
Frankly, i think mas matarik pa ang kennon road going to baguio and sierra madre going to baler yet kinakaya naman ng wigo. So the road leading to kaybiang should not be much of a problem
