curb weight is the weight of the car, parked at the curb. it does not include passengers and baggage.
gross weight is the curb weight plus the maximum passenger weight and baggage weight that car is designed to carry.
gross weight - curb weight = passenger and baggage weight.
payload is more of weight than number of heads. of course, how comfortable the passengers will be, is entirely up to them.

i'm confident the manual has the figures. alas, my wigo is still out there being driven my relative.. can't check..

Hello Guys! New member here from Sta. Cruz, Laguna. I am planning to buy my first car in the next few months to be used as a family service (with my wife and 2 small kids) only every weekend. I will also use this for our out-of-town trip every 4 months going to my home province in Camarines Sur. Actually I am torn between Toyota Wigo and Suzuki Celerio but I am leaning towards Toyota Wigo due to low maintenance cost (more available parts) as well as high ground clearance which is 180 mm compared to only 145 mm sa Celerio. Guys hingi po ako ng feedback sa mga nakatry nang magbiyahe especially the road conditions going to Bicol na may mga rough roads pa. Thank you in advance Guys sa replies! Maraming Salamat po

Sta cruz laguna, ah tapang mga babae dyan, kidding aside, both wigo and celerio are too small for a family of 4, but if these two are your only choices, test drive both and bring the family along...

    Hello Gemini0531

We're also a family of four and first brand new car namin tong Wigo. I briefly considered other brands but when we learned of the Wigo's existence, we immediately got one vs the others (Mirage, Eon etc), mainly because it's a Toyota (we had a reliable Toyota FX before this) and it looked big and spacious, even nung nakita namin sya e the dealership wasn't open (it was a Sunday) and hindi pa sya nakadisplay sa showroom so it was locked. Two years and four months of ownership and we're very satisfied sa performance nya so far.

To give you an idea lang, our Wigo is daily driven; kahit coding. We drive it from Sta Rosa Laguna to Makati, then to Ortigas and then back to Laguna. On top of that, we carpool with it too, to offset the exorbitant toll rates sa SLEX (take note, toll rates, not the gas). It travels a total of 85 kms a day on weekdays and then some more on weekends, and even more if it was a weekend with a scheduled road trip. And our kids love road trips :D

We drove this tiny car all the way to Pagudpud, went to the beach with it, visited the Angat Dam with it, went to a lot of twisting mountain roads, cemented or not, and every time inuwi nya rin kami ng safe. Right now, approaching 50T kms on its odometer, and just last night, we found na yung one day commute to work and back namin only costs 180 pesos worth of gas (18 km/l), computed via full tank to full tank method :D

So yea, we love this car.

good day! Proud owner of Wigo AT! I got it at Toyota Commonwealth last July 12, 2016, cash 541,000, metallic gray.. Guys is it really necessary to have our Wigo paint and glass protected with sealant? I read in the net that sealant is better than carnuba wax.. I also inquired in another auto detailing shop and they are offering nano seal technology for 8k, but the protection will last for 2 years daw, with periodical maintenance in their shop. I settled muna for paint and glass sealant which cost 2,200.. Sobrang haba na ng forum but I tried to read all of the important ones.. I can confirm that the engine is still not the vvti.

Interested din ako dun sa sd card and gps antenna for the navi.. I did text the seller yesterday, he will check if there's still supply pa daw.. Gusto ko rin lagyan ng reverse cam.. I read in this forum na may nakapagpakabit ng reverse cam sa Banawe.. I called the guy and will meet him this coming saturday morning..

Love this forum, informations are shared wholeheartedly and the members are all very nice and accommodating.. Hope one day I can return the favor to other newbies and help them in their journey..

I had CQuartz ceramic coating done on my Wigo last year. I'd say it's necessary, if you want to ensure longevity of the paint. That ceramic coating I had done cost me 4,899, as it was on promo and discounted for members of our club :D

There's another seller, if you're interested. They go by the name Benta Serbisyo on Facebook, sells and installs GPS navigation package for the Wigo. They've installed on a lot of members in our club too.

Parang ang old school tuloy ng Wigo ko. Wala syang reverse cam or even reverse sensors. I learned driving on an older car with none of those, so, nasanay akong wala hahahaha

Thanks bethaclaro for the inputs.. How long will the ceramic coating last? Yung sa akin na paint/glass sealant sabi nung sa auto detailing mga 3 months. Pero pwedeng umabot ng 6 months pa maintain ko siya ng carnuba wax.. I'll check the one you suggested sa facebook.. Pareho tayo old school, and I'm old hahaha... This is my first car, I've driven manual/at cars before, pero they we're my relatives' car.. Stop driving for more than 10 years, eto nakaipon uli at bumili ng sarili kong sasakyan. I really want to take good care para maglast naman siya sa akin.

Ako din, first brand new car ko to, currently being paid for with my own money. Sarap lang ng feeling :D I want it to last with me too, kaya konting tunog or ibang feeling pinapacheck ko agad. Kahit kinukulit akong ibenta na or ipasalo para makakuha ng bigger (like the new Innova, extremely good looking and extremely tempting) vehicle, ayoko nga. Hahaha

Yung ceramic coating is good for 2 years; bale clay bar lang ang pinaka-maintenance nya. Sa Optimum Impressions ko pinagawa, it's a detailing shop, located in close proximity to Enchanted Kingdom.
