Well not everyone but these guy did the right thing, and those damned jeepneys should all be out of the road permanently

MMDA Traffic Officer Files Criminal Charges Vs. Jeepney Driver A Traffic Operations Officer of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has formally filed criminal charges against an erring jeepney driver for attempted bribery.
TOO4 Romeo S. Galo filed a case against Joel S. Romualdo in violation of Article 212 in relation to Article 210 of the Revised Penal Code for Corruption of a Public Official.
The case stemmed from an incident which occurred on the morning of October 1, 2009 at Edsa (Southbound) corner Estrella Street in Makati City.
On the said date, TOO4 Galo, together with Traffic Enforcer Romeo Estañol, spotted a number of public utility jeepneys setting up an illegal terminal near the bus loading / unloading bay at the Estrella intersection, thereby causing traffic at the area.

Accordingly, said traffic enforcers approached the jeepney drivers to apprehend them for their illegal practice. Unlike other drivers who voluntarily surrendered their licenses, Romualdo tried to escape apprehension by speeding away his jeepney with plate number TYG-112.
Unfortunately for Romualdo, the traffic enforcers were able to block his way. When the enforcers asked for his license, Romualdo attempted to bribe them by inserting a P100.00-bill inside the jacket of his license. It was at this point that TOO4 Galo arrested him and brought him to the Security Intelligence and Investigation Office of the MMDA for questioning.
Angelito Vergel De Dios, Executive Director of the Traffic Operations Center commended the action taken by Galo and ordered the immediate filing of the case.
“This goes to show that the MMDA is serious in its anti-bribery campaign. I hope this serves as a warning to errant drivers,” De Dios said.
Recently, Chairman Bayani Fernando launched a campaign against bribery. He said licenses of drivers caught giving bribe money will be suspended.

The black sheep of the family. What about those MMDA officers waiting at Julia Vargas cor. San Miguel Ave. Or those under the Ortigas flyover. Or those along Shaw blvd. I could go on and on about where I've seen MMDA officials doing the nasty.

It's 1 vs hundreds.

Those that you mentioned are actually the real "black sheep" of the MMDA family. Well not really "black sheep", I like to call em the "gremlins" cos they spread a lot faster, you know why? Cos people and "hecklers" who saw them do bad and or corrupt deeds do not alert nor report to their chief on what they are doing, especially if they already know who they are or have evidence against them. These actions makes those uncorrupted one think that crime pays.

So since you knew where they are and or what they look like, I suggest you call the MMDA , like the
Public Affairs Office 882-0861 loc 312 or
MMDA cellphone: 0920-9471632 /
09175618709

Unless you're one of those people I mentioned who isn;t willing to change.

Kudos to that MMDA officer. I hope his fellow MMDA officers will copy his attitude.
