One contribution if I may. The internet is great and even foreigners can see this, talagang exciting.
Suggestion lang to each station, sana may mga volunteers who will clean up and maintain it themselves. Take out garbage and all that sort and make a particular sight to see, like if its near the beach, show off in the internet that this station caters to beach goers, ang ganda talaga which will lead to upliftment of the lives of the poor. PNR has so much to offer and lets keep the tracks clear of squatters and growing , unattended grass, as I have suggested before bring in the goats and horses to eat the overgrown grass . Tourist spot pati ang mga horses diba?
There has to be an information booth on each station which is located outside the waiting area kasi baka magalit ang admin.
Like if nasa Laguna, their tourist spot is the well known Pansol. Each station can be a unique one compared to the next one. All of this volunteer work. Sa una mahilo hilo ka sa gutom pero once the tourist comes ay masaya ang lahat. What you guys think.

OT: Mods sorry po sa double post (ng pictures). You may delete the other one.

Anyway, i think the PNR is doing the right thing. Even with minimal funding they are doing something.

I do hope more of the old stocks (similar with those refurbished units in Naga still considered by rail experts as relatively modern) will be expertly refurbished to compliment the brand trains from Korea plying the Tutuban-Alabang route.

The ROW should also be fenced off but I hope LGUs will help in protecting the PNR trains and assets.

According to what I am seeing, especially with the new DMUs, We could have renovated the old cars and fixed the engines instead of buying the new dmu's. But no regrets, nandiyan na sila and lets keep them clean and maintained. Marami ng customers, riders and dadami pa yan and they , PNR, can maintain it for better/safer travel for all. I tell you, the tourist coming off the airport will packed this trains going to beaches in the south that is why the station near the airport must be bigger than the other little stations, sorry po, sometimes I get carried away when I am excited. I hope I am sharing that excitement with you guys. Can you imagine a 50 year old man like me is so excited about this, what more with you young people. Ang galing talaga. Good LUck to all ! ! !

Wow, what can I say? They are truly beautifull. How do you find the time to take the pxs. What is Naga good at. Anything beautifull to see there? I had a friend na taga Naga pero never ako dinala sa probinsiya niya. Lets put a promo for this station and maybe, foreigners who probably are looking for a different place to see, will go here instead. Instead of Thailand, or Boracay. Boracay is too populated na. Thanks again sa pictures. mabuhay !

wow! sana makasakay ulit ako ng tren pauwi ng bicol.
we used to ride trains going to bicol when i was a kid. it was a long ride but as a kid, it was well worth it kasi dami ko nakikita sa daan pag me araw pa. countryside scenes you wouldn't see along the highway.
I dream that someday i could share the experience of long train rides to my daughter.
