i have searched different stores in manila and could not find hand cleaner. skin care is one of the concerns plaguing automotive technicians. in all parts of north america, gloves are required if you are handling chemicals or hot surfaces. the technician's hands are exposed to chemicals that may cause cancer, reproductive problems or skin irritation. the greases, paint, oil, refrigerant or antifreeze get in contact with your hands.
what i improvised as a substitute to remove accidental paint or grease on your hands is a combination of dry laundry detergent, hand/body lotion and mineral spirits or turpentine or paint thinner. the first concoction i made was1 cup lotion, 1 cup dry detergent 1/2 cup paint thinner. thoroughly blend before use. change proportions according to your liking. it worked removing oil based enamel paint and acrylic wall paint with less scrubbing and rinse with water.

November 8th, 2022 11:25 AM #3use nitrile gloves.
unlike the old latex gloves, today's nitrile gloves are much more solvent-resistant.
but in case the hands do get dirty,
for petroleum distillates, wipe-out! or the cheaper generic equivalent. followed by soap and water.
for paint, thinner. followed by wipe-out, then soap and water.
or, i just let it be; it disappears after about a week, along with the desquamated skin cells.Last edited by dr. d; November 8th, 2022 at 11:31 AM.

fast orange with pumice is far the worst hand cleaner. it dries your skin in addition to abrading your finger nails. in germany, i have tried their hand cleaner which i think is sawdust with detergent and some petroleum distillates. of course, keyboard mechanics don't have an idea on this, working with greases, tar, and petroleum based lubricants.

haha nope, permatex fast orange is probably the most popular and definitely not a bad product
want something bad? try abro, meron sa concorde. the bits are so large it's like rubbing sand
btw i think pole position has lanolin that can help w/ your dryness, check mo nalang, but i'm not having issues w/ Pole Position

i was looking for a hand cleaner with lanolin and ace hardware, handyman and other hardware stores didn't have this. outside the country i use napa 5005 without pumice. a good product. at school, my co instructors use fast orange with pumice. i bring my own napa 5005. my students prefer the napa 5005.
where can you find these hand cleaners here?
thanks
