December 3rd, 2012 08:16 AM #1423Thank you sir. I appreciate the response, But what do you suggest we do with fuel consumption. Not to compare or anything, but we have before 2.0L RAV4 and they are almost the same fc, considering that the latter is really old (1996), bigger engine and much heavier. Would you like also to comment on number 2 of my previous post?

December 3rd, 2012 09:25 AM #1424Yes sir, this is helpful in times like an accident wherein the two party's will be contesting
who is right or wrong. Street children, bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles, jeeps and etc.
are getting larger in numbers here in Manila. So we have to be careful and prepared.
I also got this device but the one with the LCD screen is better to use.
Will be installing this also in the front bumper.

your shifting, rpm, and speed, seems good sir. I have a GA model and don't have the RPM in my gauge cluster.. but in the manual and from other experiences, our APV's power is within the 3000 to 4000rpm. so that means, to achieve proper speed, power, etc.. you need to be at these RPMs before shifting up.
I achieve my last shift (5th gear) around 40 to 50 kph.. since I always practice a very light foot. so im really not putting high revs. siguro less than 2000rpm.

ooopss. sorry forgot about your fuel consumption.. best is wait for your 10,000kms change oil.. or change to 5W30 oil viscosity. that greatly affects your fuel consumption. suzuki manual also specified a 5W30 type of fullsynth oil.
and also you cant achieve a faster vehicle without sacrificing fuel consumption.. the faster you want to go.. the faster your fuel will burn..

December 3rd, 2012 06:49 PM #1427Sir Olidotcom, Thank you very much for your response. you answered everything that I wanted to know. So in order to reach 100-120km/hr, you should have at least 3500-4000RPM? Siguro nga I got used to our old auto, usually if I reach 3000RPM sa rav4,I'm at 120-130km/hr already. Mejo nag freafreak out lang ako sa tunog ng engine pag 4000 RPMna sya. Thanks again.
By the way, any groups of APV owners here

December 3rd, 2012 08:47 PM #1428Just an update, I was able to go 80 kph and above this Sunday with my apv.
I can begin to notice the humming or whining (umu-ugong) sound starting at
40 to 50 kph up to 70 kph ( not that loud as before ) and then disappearing
at 80 kph and above. Don't know why? Maybe, there are minor wears already
in the pinion and ring gear? Or not properly mesh gears? Need to observe it
further for now and I hope it's not from the automatic transmission anymore.

I'll try to schedule a meetup as well only within metro manila if you are available so you can try and see our APVs if you have any other questions, or you want to road test
