July 9th, 2008 07:19 AM #1Hi!
Im new to this whole posting thing but here goes...
I am planning to buy a 96-2000 SUZUKI VITARA. I believe these have the 1.6l engine. Does anyone know if they are single or double overhead cam, and they are considered to be an "interferance" engine?
Also any suggestions for suspension/body lift kits?
Thanx - Ben

Yeah that sounds right from what Ive been able to discover. SOHC and "non-interference" engine.
How about the rear differential... do you know if there is a difference between the escudo rear diff and the vitara rear diff? Someone told me that the vitara is open diff and the escudo is limited slip. any clues if this is acurate?

don't know about it, but my friend said that locally released vitara's have lower gear ratios... kaya mas mabagal but when it comes to off roading, kahit matarik kayang kaya daw.
