I had that same problem for a very long time.
Kala ko normal lang yun for old cars. I thought it was the sound of friction between the tires and and the road.
I recently had my transmission repaired, and when the mechanics test-drove my car, they heard the "ugong" and advised me that the wheel bearings were already very worn-out. Thinking that they are only after my money, I seek for second opinion. They other mechanic concluded the same.
And so, I had the wheel bearings replaced. Tahimik na ngayon yung takbo, after 6 years of owning the car.
Can't guarantee that you are experiencing the same problem though.

wheel bearing yan... pang 4th time ko na nagpalit, same spot front passenger side, ewan ko ba at bakit ganun, palitin talaga... ganyan palagi akin, kaya pag medyo naramdaman ko na, palit na agad, kasi may one time hinayaan ko muna kasi wlang budget ayun napagastos ako, kasi nasira yung hub napudpod dahil wala nang bearing to support it, eh wala naman nabibili na hub lang, surplus lang ang binebenta sa banawe yung spindle, so yun ang binili ko, tapos nilipat na lang yung hub nung spindle.. napalaki pa tuloy ako ng gastos aruy ko po

Up lang mga chief (instead of creating a new thread).
Same issue with TS, and nagpalit na ako ng wheel bearings.
May bumaon kasing susi. Nung na-vulcanize (provincial trip), pasak lang ginamit (aka tusok)... and it's actually a concern ever since kasi alam ko di talaga adviseable 'tong pasak. And if ever ano kaya pwedeng gawin? Patanggal muna yung goma sa mags, cold patch, then re-mount?

how old is the tire? maybe it's already dead (oblong due to a broken steel belt). it needs to retire already if that's the case.
Agree with you there. Nicely put.
