    Hey guys!!

I'm thinking of changing my tires this summer but still having 2nd thoughts on what to get. I'm currently running on Dunlop GrandTrek PT1 245/70/R16. I'm quite satisfied with them but could I be happier? Planning to replace them with AT tires of somewhat the same size.

    To current dunlop owners (PT1/AT1/AT2/MT2/others)...
Why did you get dunlops? What are the things you considered (price/performance/size availability/durability/looks)?

    To ex-dunlop tire users...
What are your tires now? What made you switch? Any negative experience on dunlops?

    Thanks again peeps!!

me im not a dunlop user, but fits in the category
    "mura na maganda"

when i was shopping for a AT tires
it's was down to 2 brands, yokohama geolandar AT2 +
    and the dunlops AT1/AT2
since i usually hit the trail
the aggressive pattern of yoko was the deciding factor

ungas and pajerokid has dunlop doughs on their ride

Dunlops offer the best price performance IMO. Tradeoff is its made of a softer (compared to Bridgestone) rubber compound which seems to suggest that it wont last that long. On the brighter side, its is a lot quieter and comfy than the BS Dueler A/T when it comes to highway driving.

i got mine from richmond tire. i posted the number somewhere in another thread re: mags. search mo na lang :D Goodluck dude!

Performance wise, Dunlops are branded with the highest grip tire-to-road performance. Like pajerokid posted, soft compound tires have the tendency to wear out faster than hard rubbers like BS and Michelins. For your ride, a 31 inch tire would fit in well. :D

I used to have the Dunlop Grandtrek AT1 with 32X11.5R15, ride was quite good for tarmac roads but I find it lacks traction when used on loose soil and gravels. There was one time that a 1 inch wood screw was stuck in between the tire treads and it didn't even purged a hole in my tires. Now, I have switched to Dunlop Grandtrek MT1 with 33X12.5R15 for more offroad capability but a bit noisy running above 90km/h because of its tread design.
