    - There are two kinds of brembo brake pads being sold in PH market now, 1 is fake brembo and 1 is legit brembo.
    - Whether legit or fake, brembo is bad for the brake rotors

    Tama ba intindi ko?
No I didn't say na may fake Brembo sa market, but Brembo aftermarket division in China decided to drop the price to match Bendix, but the legit Brembo aftermarket brake pads are not good for the rotor discs.

It says that on the box.

There is also a QR code on the box, when scanned shows this:
Just to clarify things up with this, sa other brands like Brembo will usually put on their aftermarket brake pads ng who is the original manufacturer ng brake system ng certain car models, so yung naka lagay diyan na Akebono means Akebono was the original brake caliper and pads for that specific car model. Kaya sometimes naman sa other cars like Honda models yung makikita mo naman sa Brembo box is Nissin naman ang nakalagay na original brake system supplier ng car model na yun.

Kaya nakita mo doon sa sticker label ng Brembo may picture ng one whole brake system which is the caliper and rotor disc nakakabit together, what that means is who is the original stock brake system supplier ng car model na yun.

Nope, the Brembo aftermarket division in China chose a new strategy which is to sell by volume sa masa end users. I already saw their prices on Shopee Thailand sobrang mura narin ng presyo nila they are trying to compete with Bendix level sa aftermarket na usually nasa P1,000~up lang na prices.

Oh I see! That explains why the brembo pads seem to have a different design. The original Akebono ones have that line in between the brake pads, I don't know what that's called. Shiet. Guess I'll just replace these after a year.

Yes isa din reason why Brembo brake pads are cheap is because a lot of them don't have what we call the slot, which is for cooling purposes of the brake pads friction material para hindi mag overheat kaagad and losing ng braking power and brake fade endurance & efficiency, kaya ang maximum operating temperature lng ng Brembo aftermarket brake pads ay only 370°C before hindi na kakayanin ng friction material.

Without the brake pads slot ng Brembo aftermarket brake pads, once the pad material overheats it is prone to the material becoming brittle and cracking tapos Brembo aftermarket China dinadaya nila brake pads quality nila which is called dual layer meaning 1st half ng material is ok performance pero pagdating mo na sa 2nd half ng material mas worse or similar to Bendix General CT quality and performance na unlike Akebono na iisang layer and formula lang na friction material walang daya. Ang problem mo diyan is may 10% iron content yung Brembo brake pads yan lng only reason bakit may additional power yung initial na kagat sa brakes kaya mapapansin mo na maitim brake dusts ng Brembo dahil nga sa metallic content niya, masmalakas din wear and tear sa rotor discs.

Tapos x2 masmabilis siya maubos versus Akebono brake pads due to chopsuey na two different types/layers of friction material and impure pa yung significant portion ng gamit nilang raw materials.

News regarding the original aftermarket Brembo brake pads, most of the auto shops that had purchased Brembo aftermarket brake pads had received a lot of bad feedback from their customers and majority of the auto shops across the Philippines had already stop buying Brembo aftermarket brake pads due to their poor quality especially when they undercut the prices of the Bendix General CT which is an entry level brake pad variant of the Bendix product line.

Before the number of end users that used the product were not as many as today's users, when the Brembo aftermarket team in China decided to turn Brembo's prices into budget meal brakes, so the prices of Brembo had been dumped way below the prices of Bendix then there was a huge increase of initial trial purchases from the end users since it had become more affordable for the end users to purchase them since their prices went below PHP 2k per set from the previous PHP 5-6k per set, since then more people were able to try using the aftermarket Brembo brake pads thus the ratio of complains sharply increased because there were now more end users that was able to try the product unlike before when only a few end users could afford it. Sadly their reputation in the aftermarket has been severely tarnished.
