i just bought a 2nd hand 2014 forester
ano yung mga common problems/failures?

Just had my SH9 XT's timing belt replaced.

Cost breakdown is as follows:

All-in cost is 35k++ inclusive of tensioners, belt (toyo power), water pump, thermostat, pulleys, labor (9.5k), fuilds and etc.

Also had my front shock mounts and both control arms replaced for 16k.

PMS is 4.5k using redline 10W-40.

total cost is 56k

1 and 1/2 days work. Does anybody know how much MI GH charges for the same work done?

77k more or less.

They actually did a full fluid change kasi it's 10 years na.

No need na for SJ models kasi the FB engine uses timing chain na.

Thanks bai. SJ din ung sa akin. Mababa lang mileage kasi hindi gamit masyado. 4 years na 25T pa odo. I bought a 30-month free PMS package thou so dinadala ko na lang sa MI every 6 months. After it lapses, I will transfer to fusion R siguro.

Ah i see.

Okay sa fusion R. Mabilis and mura.

I heard some of them there are ex MI mechanics. I dont know how true.
