September 19th, 2013 04:33 AM #1I need your opinion or advice.
Ano ba mas practical o ano mas pipiliin nyo?
I like speed and comfort pag dating sa car... i think based from reviews mejo kulang sa acceleration speed ung subaru Impreza na bago kaya naisip kong bumili nalang kaya ako ng Subaru Legacy 2010 na 2nd hand dahil ayun nga maganda in terms of looks and has power. Im also considering the maintenance cost in buying a 2nd hand vehicle.
2nd Hand Subaru Legacy 2010
or
Brand New Subaru Impreza 2013?
Thanks Thanks...

The safe answer is to get the brand new car. But if you can set aside some funds for repairs and maintenance for the 3 year old car, I'd get the Lagacy.

check subaruclubph i've seen a couple of legacy for sale in mint condition. a 3 year old legacy in mint condition is just as reliable as a new impreza so i'd go with the legacy.

I'd go with the Legacy, just make sure to check the maintenance history. Since MI has been noted for their good aftermarket services, you can check with them the maintenance cost of both cars. If you think the difference is reasonable (in terms of maintenance and FC), you might as well go with a more comfortable and powerful car. It will also be like a discussion between a slightly used/mint 8th gen Accord against a new Civic FB.

September 23rd, 2013 05:28 PM #8nothing beats a brand new car, even a properly maintained 2nd hand car.

A brand new car may have its merits but in this comparison, a used but decently maintained Legacy GT is still a better car over the entry-level Impreza. Better engine, bigger interior space, better suspension, and proven handling. You can not add more interior space to a smaller car and you need a lot of mods to match the near double power output of the Legacy over the Impreza. They would not have awarded the Legacy GT the 2009 COTY award if it was not that good.
Heck, I'd even pick a used Legacy GT wagon over a new XV or new Forester 2.0 (NA). New Forester XT or new Legacy GT wagon (they are priced about the same nowadays)? Hmmm, that's something else.Last edited by Egan101; September 23rd, 2013 at 06:14 PM.

actually the impreza could never match the lgt's power no matter what you do to it even if you go the turbo route, the only way it could is if you swap the engine.
Agree with you there. Nicely put.
