Yeah, no excuses for this. Hindi ko talaga napansin yung time because of how busy I am at work, life, etc.

    - have your brakes cleaned and check actual thickness. Olympian can supply you with Akebono pads if you need to replace either the front or rear pads.
    - change the front lower arm bushings, both big and small together. Bring it to Velocity Underchassis in Aurora Avenue. They can also supply you good replacement bushings that lasts as the original ones (which usually breaks every 30k km). Make sure to bring the car to shop that can do laser wheel alignment afterwards. If you don’t change your bushings, your tires will degrade faster.
    - change your coolant. You can buy Ravenol at Lazada, maybe 8L. Drain your old coolant, then flush it with distilled water (8L of Absolut). Run the engine till coolant cycles. Drain the distilled water and put on the new coolant. Let the car stand overnight and add more coolant to rhe reservoir tank as needed.

    * I have a K&N cabin filter so I'll just clean that out
    * Is this any good for an air filter? Popular brand? I know you said before that this is the one you're using. Not sure if you still recommend it now.
    * Do you know if 2211 does brake cleaning? FusionR does not. They only clean brake pads (not the whole brake system).
    * Are the replacement bushings in Velocity Underchassis branded? So after changing the bushings, I have to have the wheels aligned again? Parang nasayang lang yung P700 for alignment na ginawa kanina then, sigh. Any shop recommendation that do laser wheel alignment?
    * So draining and refilling the coolant is something that's very easy to do?
    * How about replacing the thermostat, no need for now?

As good as K&N products are but I would rather have one that I change every year. Since you have K&N, just clean it regularly (every 6 months).

I use JS Asakashi that I buy from Lazada. I keep air filters and cabin filters ready at home in case I needed to change immediately.

Most auto shops have the skills to clean brakes. You can buy your own brake cleaner fluid (around 200 online). Nearby shops here in Parañaque only charge 800 for cleaning all 4 wheels.

Ain’t it a bitch? You need to check wheel alignment every time you change suspension parts. It is good practice to fix a key issue first so that you will not spend again. I think most major auto shops offer a 2 week warranty for wheel alignment. Maybe you can change your bushings now and have the warranty claimed on the wheel alignment.

Coolant flush - most auto shops can do this. You can even do it on your own but you need an extra hand.

I didn’t have any issues with the temperature monitor so I didn’t bother to replace the thermostat.

Yeah, I know that long standing debate on using K&N vs. OEM filters.

Any particular of brake cleaner fluid to buy? Does that P800 charge include the brake cleaner fluid already? If I bring my own brake cleaner fluid, is labor usually cheaper than P800 in shops near you?

Let me ask Whistl3r about the wheel alignment warranty.

I bring my own brake cleaner. Some shops sell brake cleaner fluid but it will cost more than 200.

Got it.

Also, I still have 5.7 liters left of Zic engine oil (leftover yung isang bottle). Will that be enough?

Just to be on the safe side, it’s good practice to change such fluids. Ravenol HJC yung available coolant sa Lazada or Shopee na meets Subaru requirements.

As long as you have engine oil and oil filter, puwede ka pa change oil sa any auto shop.

Zic X7 5w30 ba yan? Puwede na yan though Subaru recommends a viscosity of 0w20 for its non turbo engines. Puwede na yan 5L for your FB20 engine. Baka nga sobra pa yan. The turbo FA20 uses 5.5L of oil and normally non turbo engines require less.

So 8L (6 bottles, 9 liters total) nun, right? Pati ba engine coolant kaya gawin ng kahit sinong auto shop?

Yes, Zic X7 5W30. If I remember correctly, 5W30 din nakasulat sa manual. So next time 0w20 na ang bilhin ko?

Get the bigger container ng Ravenol (8L volume), mas mura kalabasan. You will only use around 6L but you can keep the remaining to top up once in a while.

Mas common kasi yung 5w30 viscosity. Check your manual, it states 0w20 is recommended but 5w30 can be used. Sa FA20 (turbo), recommended is 5w30 but 5w40 can be used as alternative.

Idemitsu and Amsoil has 0w20 viscosity available. Same price lang sa 5w30 nila. Honda has long been using 0w20 viscosity for its engines. It warms up faster and good for fuel efficiency.

RAVENOL HJC Concentrate Protect FL22 | RAVENOL

Ok, let me check the manual again regarding the viscosity.

Sorry, 5L pala. I checked my previous purchase and the item is now discontinued in Lazada. For that matter, just buy 6L worth. Puwede na yan.
