Yes, but it's expensive after-market. And usually head units today have other integrated functions like climate control, tire pressure monitoring, vehicle settings, etc.
Android Auto is a great forward leap in tech and I prefer it vs having your phone on a holder on your dashboard.

I got a 70mai pro dash cam and just realized a few hours ago, when I was installing it myself, how difficult it is to install a dash cam if the XV has eyesight. it's a logistics thing. there are 3 cameras and you can only install the dash cam beside the cameras because you won't be able to hide the wires sa windshield if any of the 3 cameras are above your dash cam (i'm not touching any part of the 3 cameras just to hide unsightly wires). which means, the dash cam will be either halos nasa side na ng front passenger or ng driver, instead of in the middle of the windshield. probably the best option is to get one with a suction type like the xiaomi ones, na puwede mong i-turn yung camera to adjust. if the camera of the dash cam is fixed, like the 70mai, hindi centered ang view. i should know more in the next few days. darn it.

A few 2018 XV's are on sale. Base variant priced just below ₱1.3M.
They're probably clearing out stock before the mid-cycle refresh.

October 24th, 2019 07:03 AM #14272019 Forester Non Eyesight model here, I enquired about the headunit upgrade option (the same one that comes with impreza) I was confirmed that headunit upgrade is now avaiable for php 10000 including labour and warranty. Plus they return your old stock headunit as well. It is the HK unit sold in NA region i presume. Nice way to upgrade with out having to bother about integration issues. Plus you get Subaru starlink access as well along with Android Auto and Apple Car play compatibility.

October 28th, 2019 11:50 PM #1429BTW, on Sunday i got the headunit swap done at Subaru greenhills on my 2019 Forester (Non Eyesight). Removed the stock Panasonic and replaced it with Harman Kardon Headunit that has Android auto/Apple carplay. They had to remove the harness and gps unit for the panasonic that runs all the way down till fusebox. It was a neat install, no rattles nothing. Yet to explore the headunit, Apple carplay and Android Auto works fine.
Two gains :
1. The center display (6.3 inches) now also shows Music info being played when using maps
2. The rear parking camera guidelines now turn as per steering wheen position
They also gave back the old Panasonic headunit to me.
They also replaced the USB/Aux piece next to car charger port below AC Controls as the Harman Kardon unit doesn't come with HDMI in port.
It's worth the effort, only if one is prepared to have the entire drive side dashboard components removed in order to reach and remove the wiring harness that is no longer needed for the new headunit.
The new unit sounds better than old at low volumes and has much better display (Same as imprezza unit)
The model number i got is G31 MID it had 2017 as manufacturing date. No manual though
Total was php 10k. Warranty applies on Head unit as well.
Will post the pictures i took (yup was there assisting the technicians ) It was a good experience being there when things are being worked on your car.

Could also be due to the high demand that the manufacturer prioritized new car deliveries vs. spare...
