July 15th, 2013 05:06 PM #1Hi Jef_512!
Thanks for sharing. I suggest we make a new thread for the HU upgrade and options?
Also, I think you forgot to add the cost of the panel? 4.3k? or is the the dash kit 3.5k?
As for Kenwood:
HU: 49.50K
Panel: 4.3K
cables: 2.8K does not include the Aux and USB function....
Back up cam: 3K
Now, making me think to go to AVT way.......

Hi! I actually created a thread about this a few months back (although my Forester is the 2012 model):
http://tsikot.com/forums/subaru-cars...tricals-91817/
I also upgraded my HU and changed speakers + added amplifier and rear camera. Didn't post pics though. Will see if I can still edit my post.
Hope this helps.

July 24th, 2013 01:08 PM #5Hi stan, when i had my head unit done i met someone in the shop who used to have fly audio (his car was an SH turbo).
He said that sound quality wasn't that good daw so he changed his HU to Pioneer (i think he got the x4550 ata). He had some sound setup going on (eg. subs, after market speakers, amp) though not really the competition type. I think he had that setup even before he switched to Pioneer pa.
Incidentally, there's a Facebook page ata for flyaudio philippines.. You can check out their page din if you haven't seen it yet.

July 14th, 2013 09:38 PM #6When remapping pala i mean manual programming, which can be done with the metra already connected and working. You just need to re-assign the button assignments.

July 17th, 2013 01:14 AM #9Hi , i test drove the new forester 2.0 NA last week and this morning it really looks great and engine is very responsive. I only have one comment, bumpy ang ride. I checked the tire pressure of the test unit and it was on 30psi. Is there a way to fix this? I really want a forester but the ride is a killer / deal breaker.... Thanks

July 17th, 2013 12:16 PM #10Yeah the ride is quite firm. Pansin din ni Mrs LOL
I just reduced the air pressure to 29 in the front and 28 at the back. I think that's the best we can do.
One can only hope.
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
