way way back, I observed this party girl who got so angry at the waiter. he served her regular coke instead of coke light. sabi ko sa sarili ko, sobra naman yun! ang arte sobra.

pero ngaun napipikon ako pag walang coke light sa mga fastfoods or any other resto. i got so accustomed to the taste of coke light, yun regular coke pa nga konting tikim ko lang parang nakainom ng something toxic.

the best ang 0 calories na coke light after eating a heavy meat meal like stakes or burgers or typical house pinoy foods like adobo, menudo etc. kasi it help in the digestion process without adding up calories. yun juice pa nga ang tea ang dapat iwasan kasi, heavy meal na nga dagdag pa nun mga hi-calorie drinks na yun

add ko lang nakakatawa yun mga umoorder ng Coke Light Bottomless sa mga fine restos. e para ano pa at nag-light ka

I can only drink half-a-can of coke light per meal or at the most 3/4 pag uhaw talaga. pero pag 1-can sigurado bloated na ko regardless kung light meal or heavy.

kaya tipid kami ni misis while dining out, order lang namin 1 can hati na kami hehehe

I am a diabetic and na research ko na talaga yang mga aspartame drinks. Its perfectly safe unless you drink 50 cans of Coke Light daily. A normal consumption of 4-5 cans in a day is harmless. I've been drining diet drinks and it has no effect on my blood sugar levels.

Thank God for Pepsi Max because it doesn't taste like a diet soft drink.
Thank God for Equal and Splenda too as I can satisfy my cravings for sweets.
Thank God for BTIC for I can still enjoy Ice Cream.

Word of caution about C2 and other Ice Tea brands. They're no better than Coca Cola as far as refined sugar content is concerned. C2 is 98% sugared water and 2% Green Tea. Any Ice Tea drink above 2% tea content is unpalatable. So C2 is actually sugared water (like Coke) but marketed with a twist as a healthy detoxifying drink.

And do you know the physiology of why sugar makes you fat?
Every molecule of glucose (that's what sugar turns to once digested)
needs about 5 molecules of water in order to be stored in our muscles
as energy reserves for our cells. So if you're fond of consuming sugary
and carby foods, think about all that water retention going on in your
body. You actually gain weight but not out of fat but because of
water retention. You'll be bloated and water retention has a bad effect
on your heart and your kidneys.
So there you go...Sweetness can actually kill....

Sir TJMaxx - Very well said .

Softdrinks, in any form, is never good. Period.

So are the currently available tea drinks like White or Green Tea that promises none of this and that. I still consider them processed food therefore, it can't be healthy.

    How? Acid!

The above mentioned drinks will cause GERD or Gastroesophageal reflux disease, a condition in which your esophagus becomes irritated or inflamed because of acid backing up from your stomach.

I bet you that it ain't fun having a bleeding stomach

try to pour C2 in a paper board. leave it overnight. pag-gising mo sa umaga, parang slimy sya na malagkit. imagine putting that in your body

there's also one thing i noticed about C2, masarap sya pag malamig, pero pag hindi mapakla. same as RUSH from the makers of C2 yun ginagaya Gatorade. ganyan din.

if you must drink tea, drink the original - tea leaves and hot water. if you must use some form of sweetener, use honey instead of processed sugar.

I too am not completely sold on C2 and similar beverages. I mean have you tasted original/natural chinese tea? Compare it to C2. And then, some ad commercials portray them as healthy drinks with uber skinny models drinking 'em

Excessive consumption of sweets will definitely lead to obessity esp if there is no form of physical activity.

I've taken out soda's and sweetened/processed beverages out of my diet also after doing my own reading and research on these drinks. Instead I bought a blender and I make my own fruit smoothies My pamangkins love it too, taste like milk daw hehe
