Depende yun sa type of lense. Glass or plastic. Multicoated/ultrathin. Transition or not. Im using a multicoated, ultrathin (scratchproof), plastic lense (400/450) nasa 2,300+the frame's price. Mas mura doon sa Paterno Street sa may Quiapo.

February 5th, 2008 10:32 PM #6I'm using the following specs;
Frame - Oakley corkscrew 2.1 = 10k
Progressive Lens - Varilux ellipse = 10k
Transition - Essilor transitions - 3.7k (fast reacting when exposed
to sunlight or even cloudy it turns gray immediately)
Expensive but looks really cool :cool2: I don't need sunglasses anymore.
Hopefully hindi mag fade ung frame due to acidic perspirations.

Depende eh. I suggest you go to an opthalmologist/optical center. It would depend on the frame, kind of lens (plastic or glass), treatment i.e. progressive lens, UV coating, extra treatment if you're a heavy computer user, transition (yung nag ge-grey pag timaaan ng araw).
The pair I wear cost me P 13K 2-3 years ako. Progressive lens, UV coating, extra treatment (I'm a heavy computer user), transition plus the frame.

I'm using Essilor on Silhouette frame. Around 3-4K ang price.
I also have Essilor Transitions on my Oakley, around 6-7K price ng lens because medyo mataas ang grado ko (700) and may astigmatism din.

^ Boybit, mura ata nung silhouette niyo?
Mine costs 7K (naka sale pa yun) Silhouette Model 7378 with Polycarbonate, Multicoated, Hi- Index lenses (2,5K). Very light. Pang Office.
I have another pair which is a Rudy Project Tretoky (7K) with a tinted, polycarbonate, Multicoated, Hi - index lens (2K) - A tad heavier, but very cool. Pang weekend and Outdoors.
I did have transition lenses before, but since they tend to be more expensive and often comes in 'plastic' which are brittle (I experienced them getting broken...very dangerous) and more prone to scratches..kaya I don't buy them anymore.

February 6th, 2008 12:07 PM #10ck, costs around 20 k. i avoid staring to much at the monitor kahit na my work requires it, ayokong lumabo ang paningin ko. anyway, do i need to get me a pair of glasses to protect my eyes from too much exposure to the monitor?
Agree with you there. Nicely put.
