March 13th, 2019 09:24 AM #1Prior to upgrade, my Pldt dsl modem connected to my Linksys router was just like a simple plug and play. Whatever speed my dsl (5mbps) had would also reflect sa Linksys router ko.
However with the upgrade to Pldt Home Fiber (20-26mbps), the speed of my Linksys router is only less than 3mbps. I guess this is no longer plug and play thing.
Can anyone here please help me do it right? If possible step by step instructions.... noob here... tia

Ntu settings. Although auto is the default.
Next is check if linksys has qos enabled. If yes, adjust to new subscribed speed.
Wifi might be on the same freq for the pldt modem/wifi and linksys, thereby causing radio interference.

with my limited knowledge in networking kung sino yung madetect ng asus router mo dun ka kumonek, now kung pareho nya nadedetect kung sino pinaka malapit dun ka kumonek, imho your ip should be supplied by the one to whom you are connected because most of the time naka DHCP yang mga yan based on the ip's you supplied
ergo all you need to do is supply the ssid/password kung san ka kokonek and that;s it your good to go!Last edited by box_type; April 3rd, 2019 at 11:54 AM.

^when cascading several routers, DHCP from the root router (PLDT) wont help
if the ASUS will be connected to the PLDT then it should be 192.168.1.X or 192.168.1.2 (if this IP address isnt utilized)
if the ASUS will be connected to the linksys, then it should be 192.168.2.X or 192.168.2.2 (if this IP address isnt utilized)
