Try installing AVG and Ad-Aware. Update mo muna. Also, if you know the name of the virus, End Process on Task Manager.

virus nga kaya yan? I'm actually experiencing the same thing as you, also with IE7 on XP SP2. I know for a fact that walang virus ang PC ko because it's newly formatted, immediately installed AVG and an adware/spyware blocker before going online, and only tried to access Yahoo that time.
The main page of Yahoo is actually the site that always makes IE7 hang for me. I don't have that problem with firefox.
Baka naman may ginawa ang Microsoft with an update to IE7 kaya ganyan nangyayari. Di ba ni-reject ng Yahoo ang offer ng Microsoft recently?
Anyway, if I do learn something about this, I'll just post it here.

I don't have any problems with IE7. But, I do have Spybot: Search and Destroy in Resident (real-time protection) mode and have every option to secure IE turned on.

February 23rd, 2008 01:48 PM #6May na experience din na ganyan ang friend ko. Won't let you visit another site in a sense na mag hang na yung IE but it was IE6. It was not a virus, there were some corruptions dun sa system files ng IE. What I did was a complete reinstallation of IE and voila ayus na sya
A registry checker might help din, kung spyware or virus nga, install ka na lang antivirus (Avast) and antispyware(Superantispyware). Or try and download hijackthis and have the results posted here.

Just wondering if you have a wireless router piggybacking off a wired router......
One can only hope.
Cheaper brands than Motolite but reliable as well
