sorry for the late reply, had a rough week. Ngayon lang ako nababalikan ng malay :D

thanks for the replies. i'm gonna stick to phones that have 4.0" displays. Typing on a qwerty keyboard is tough but i like the portability.

Does anyone know if the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 will be released here? Medyo OK ang specs, and there's an LTE variant pa.

if u want the best android phone under 15k then it must be alcatel, cherrymobile or myphone. quadcore , 4"-5" display etc.
it's a cheaper version of samsung and iphone , but if u dont want the cheaper model then u must have over 15k

This Itel piso deal fiasco just recently appeared on my radar.

My knowledge of the whole thing is still spotty but in a nutshell, Itel PH offered a piso deal promo of one of their phones, the A50 in one of the live events. They originally were only going to give one phone to one (1) lucky winner. But since the live event were seemingly going so well, Itel's management decided to be generous and increased the number of giveaway A50 phones from 1 to 10.

But due to pure incompetence (IMO), the "10" turned into "6,500"... so now, Itel is forced to deliver 6,500 phones amounting to over P15M to people who ordered it for P1.

This is Pepsi's Number Fever ("349") all over again.

Did they deliver all 6,500? My understanding is that they can't fulfill it.

    From unbox ph ...

Itel Philippines has been quiet since the issue erupted, but they have released an official statement where they will honor the Piso Sale. In its statement, itel said that it will take full responsibility and will provide affected buyers a voucher valued at Php 2,898 that they can use on the official itel TikTok store until July 31.

The voucher can be used to re-order the A50 4G or to buy any other itel products. itel adds that it will send the voucher to affected customers through direct messaging.

“We assure you that we are using this incident as an opportunity to refine our processes, thereby enhancing the user shopping experience and ensuring the continued delivery of the dependable quality you expect from itel,” they said in their statement.

I imagine that the "affected buyers" here are those who didn't cancel their order.

But assuming all 6,500 units were sold out, that adds up to a whopping 18.8M loss.
