Please help me choose a printer. It will only be used for printing documents (word, excel or ppt) and web pages.
My previous printer was a Lexmark and has gone through my graduate and post-graduate papers! It's still working but the cartridge is already obsolete and I have gone through several refills on my last cartridge. It served me well for 12 yrsI need to replace it now with a printer that is basic since I rarely print documents. My budget is only 3k maximum. My priority is is durability.
Here are my choices:

Meron ako nung canon pixma, pinaconvert ko siya sa unlimited ink and I buy refill ink which costs 70petot sa recto. Isang refill ng ink kaya magprint ng up to 2,000+ pages. Haha.

Here's the problem. Ink jet printers are cheap. But you will need to use them often enough so the ink will not dry up in the nozzles/print-head.
The solution, get a LASER PRINTER. The cheapest ones are around P3,500 each with a toner capacity of around 1500 copies. You can leave this unused for a whole year then fire it up for a quick document print out with no issues (except if a rodent or family of roaches made it as their home).

Haha.
Basta kahit ano mangyari wag na wag kayo bibili ng brother na printer, nakatatlo na kami at nasira lahat.

At our office, since we need a printer for color, I got an EPSON L100. It was fine in the most part except it was quite slow.
Previously we used a Canon IP1800 series printer with ICS kit. It worked fine except that I needed to replace the cartridge (color or black) around every 3 weeks or I had to run cleaning cycle often to keep the prints clear and bright. Basically it needed quite a bit of attention from me.
The EPSON L100 was better in that it only needed its ink refilled and that's it. Once in a rare while, I might need to do a cleaning cycle but it's still a far cry from what I was doing with the Canon. Since the L100 was slow and we needed color prints quickly, I bought another unit, an EPSON L110 which was it's newer model and a bit faster too.

Kailangan ko na rin ng bagong printer, pangit na output ng printer ko ngayon. Same lang sa needs ni cathy, document printing, usually b&w pero syempre may colored din once in a while.
Ano kaya pinaka-ok na laser printer tapos under 4k? Ok kasi sinabi ni GH, pwede iiwan ng matagal na hindi natutuyo, thats what i need.
