February 27th, 2018 09:28 AM #111Madali lang palitan yung SSD and RAM IF the model you buy doesn't have soldered storage and RAM and if madaling ibaklas. I normally look at reviews and youtube teardowns to see how kung kaya gawan hehe.
I got the base model and upgraded the SSD later. Comes out cheaper than if it came with it.Last edited by mda; February 27th, 2018 at 09:31 AM.

February 27th, 2018 11:39 AM #112The Inspiron 7567 has the easiest upgrade path I have seen in a modern laptop. Only 1 captive screw to loosen and the whole panel comes off revealing an easy to upgrade layout.

PC masters, ask lang ako ng advise nyo.
Considering that my HP laptop is equipped with a 4 generations lower Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U CPU * 1.70GHz with 4GB RAM, how much of an improvement am I looking at if I add an 8GB RAM vis-a-vis it's 4k cost at Lazada.
Thanks.

February 27th, 2018 12:43 PM #115For 'normal' use, instead of going with more RAM, look into replacing your hard disk with an SSD first. Look for either the Micron/Crucial MX500 and the Samsung 850/860 Evo. Choose what fits your budget but don't bother with the 120/128GB drives.
The 4210u is still very capable today. Pero by now, siguro nag wwear out na yung hard disk, and 5400rpm (even 7200rpm) hard drives weren't very fast to begin with.. Go youtube your particular laptop model to see how easy/difficult it is to replace the hard disk.
250GB drives should be within range of 4-6k, and 500GB drives should be about 7-10k. Di ka magsisisi if this is your first solid state drive hehe.Last edited by mda; February 27th, 2018 at 12:48 PM.

Yes sir, I already saw 2 vids on how to open my pc, one was more complex than the other since I have to remove the motherboard to access RAM and HDD. Now I have to google what SSD specs are best to replace the existing TOSHIBA MQ01ABD100 - 931.51 GB. Aside from transferring windows and other programs hehehe.

Wala masyadong difference ang mga previous-gen i5 sa current gen. Nasa 5-10% per generation lang ang improvement (Intel is coasting because AMD can't catch up anyway, gone are the days of the CPU wars).
Tama si mda, getting an SSD will give you the most tangible improvement in responsiveness. My 11-year old PC with a Core 2 Quad Q6600 with a 256 GB SSD and 6GB RAM still runs fine for browsing, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
After upgrading to an SSD, saka ka lang magupgrade to 8GB RAM if you still see the need for it. But if you don't do heavy Photoshop, Lightroom, or Premiere, hindi pa kailangan yung 8GB.

February 27th, 2018 12:54 PM #118All of my recommendations will work with what you have basta you can access the HDD. The MQ01ABD100 is SATA so sureball compatible yun.
Samsung 850 Evo
Samsung 860 Evo
Crucial MX500
All 3 should come with cloning software, so all you need to do is to hook up the SSD to a USB to SATA drive dongle or external hard disk enclosure (sold separately) and clone the device BEFORE you swap.

Thanks Jut!
Wow Sir MDA, may complete specs and instructions pa! Thanks a lot!
SSD nga muna! I saw the Samsung at Lazada and price is just 1k higher than the 8GB RAM.
