mile2, if you're not convinced I'll give you are more detailed and technical interpretation so bear with me.

Yachid' (יָחִיד) - means only son. It can also mean beloved son or only begotten son. This comes from the root word Yachad (יָחַד) meaning united. The confusion, however, comes from its synonym Bachar (בָּחַר) meaning chosen or appointed. INC's interpretation of this is that Jesus is therefore only an appointed messenger and thus, only a man. But using this logic is a fallacy because we know it is only a synonym.

As clarified by A.C. Gaebelein in his book, The Annotated Bible (Penteteuch). p. 29, we must not take its meaning in the New Testament in the same context as the Old Testament.

If we refer to the Greek translation, There are two distinct usages of son: Huios and Teknon. Huios(distinct) is exclusively used to refer to Jesus for example this text:

John 1:34 "I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God."

Huios automatically means that the Son is in the same kind as its origin, God the Father.

Whereas Teknon(gender neutral children) is used in this:

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

refers to us, the believers, not as direct offspring but as adopted children.

Trinitarians are here committing a categorical fallacy by confusing definitions of the terms. In short they are comparing apples and oranges.

Being "Son of God" does not mean God

God is not a Son of Man

God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. (Numbers 23:19).


Israelites are Sons of God

You are the sons of the LORD your God. (Deuteronomy 14:1; cf. Ex. 4:22; Deut 32:6, 18-19; Psalm 29:1; Rom 9:4).


Judges of Israel are Sons of God

I said, "You are gods,and sons of the Most High - all of you. Nevertheless you will die like men and fall like any one of the princes."


Angels are Sons of God

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?.... When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:4,7).



Huios was used in Galatians 3:26 but was not referred to Jesus as oppose to the quotes by "SAFEORIGIN"

Christians are Sons of God

You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26).

True disciples of Jesus are sons of God. In fact, just as Jesus was begotten from above by the Spirit of God, all the disciples of Jesus are begotten from above by the Spirit of God. For this reason Jesus is described as the "firstborn of many brothers." God is the true Father of the disciples and indeed they are all "partakers of the divine nature" and Jesus also teaches they "will be like the angels being sons of the resurrection." And of course it does not mean any of them are "God." The very same thing is true of Jesus.Trinitarians need to stop confusing or conflating identity and nature and accusing everyone else of the very error they commit themselves.
