yup. agree with this.... i've seen a CRV who is driven once a week from baguio and back dahil andun yung business ng owner...

after two years, the CRV has logged more than 125000 kms... pero nung nasakay ako minsan still feels brand new, ni walang kakalampag-kalampag.. the aircon is still cold and the body is still makinis...

Very true Doc, maintenance is more important than overall mileage. Heck, our MB wagon has 372k miles (598k km!) and it runs strong on the highway at 120kph. 400k km more to go and we get a free Benz!

Another thing to note is if you constantly drive the car on the highway, that is much (and I mean MUCH) better than driving it in city traffic. Kaya kung puro highway miles, that's better than having a low mileage city driven car.

eto classis example, I sold my pickup with odometer of 130,000++km, then kanina gumala me sa isang 2nd hand car dealer and lo and behold andun ung sasakyan ko na of course much higher na ung price... but also tampered na ung odometer.. naging 36,000km na lang sya.

.. to think ang dahilan nya gagamitin raw sa farm and hindi sa buy and sell hehehe.. the buyer is also a tsikot member i think.

my bro in laws bmw has 9000km odo reading when he bought it. Nung dapat papalo suppossedly sa 10k naging 30k ang reading, he was furious about it and sold the car right away. ang technique sa digital odometer ay i-short yung ilang lcd digit sa display to make a lower mileage reading. ex yung 8000 pwedeng maging 6000 by shorting the upper right portion of the number 8 etc.. 5k ang singil sa ganitong job according to a friend who's into buy and sell

Ako naman suspetsa ko dun is pinatay nila ung 1st digit kaya lumabas ung mileage nya at 36500... make sense kc i sold it with mileage of 130,000 tm.

its safe to assume almost lahat ng buy and sell agent do this.. so beware na lang kayo peeps. sabi nga ng mga magagaling sa auto d2 sa tsikot.. its not the odomedeter... check the unit itself (in and out). kung d sobrang makinis ang pintura pero okay naman interior and mechanical /engine nya kahit medyo high mileage.. baka good buy na yun kaysa low mileage kuno na sobrang kintab galing sa 2nd hand dealer.
